newbie to the area with questions

First off I would just like to say hello to all the club members. I'm Chris and moved here to Phoenix 6 months ago. Last month I bought a 68 coupe with a 302 and c4 (originally a 4 speed). I am in the middle of rebuilding the engine and had a few questions reguarding other things that have to be done.

    1. Good auto trans rebuilder for a good price? I don't care if its a shop or a person that does his/her own work as long as a few people have good things to say about them...

    2. Good welder for new quarter panels. And drop downs? I have to replace both sides and I am hoping that someone has some good info on a welder that won't rip me off but does good work. I will do the finishing touches myself, but suck with a welder. I want to make sure they are welded properly and in line with the rest of the body.

I thought this club would be a HUGE HELP as you've been around a while. I'm from upstate NY originally and there are no car clubs of this size there. All help would be greatly appreciated! I am looking forward to being able to get out and cruise with you all VERY SOON but obviously there are things I have to do first...

    Chris

Welcome! I'm from Long Island, moved to Phoenix in 1994. I had Ken's rebuild the auto in our '04 Expedition. Was recommended by a friend and have brought other friends there for service. Ken told me never to have the trans power flushed. After the traans went out, I looked and had it done 10,000 miles before (before I asked Ken about it).
