    Impact wrench question

I am looking to buy a 1/2 drive Impact Wrench and am wondering what makes are reliable and which give the most bang for the buck. Which ones do you guys use?

Also what sockets do you use?

Thanks for your recommendations in advance!

I have an Ingersoll-Rand 1/2" Titanium Impact Wrench IR 2135TIMAX.

    Very powerful.

As far as impact sockets. I have used the good stuff "Sears" and the cheap stuff "Harbor Freight" and never had a problem with either.

    Burntire and Trucker,

Thanks! I am pricing out IR 1/2 drives.
Looking at Sears to see if they will price match the best online price.
    Will keep you posted.

Look at the specs. The model I have has a ton of torque.

I don't have fancy lugs. Something pretty I would do the old fashion way.

You will probably be able to get the gun cheaper online or Ebay.

i have a craftsman impact that i bought a few years back that has never done me wrong. as for a socket, i would suggest hitting up napa. they have a plastic lined socket that will keep your wheels safe.

I use a old two sided socket 3/4 13/16 with a shorty extension
what ever you decide just make sure its a impact socket or it will explode in your face

I use the IR sockets ... made of Chrome-Moly. They are reasonably priced over at Amazon especially if you can find a free shipping deal.
