    What a Terrible night.

Long story short My throttle return spring broke and when my foot fell to the floor for a split second after it broke the car was stuck at WOT.it down shifted in the rain and I lost control of it and fishtailed all over the road. I finally shut it down and as i came back around from fishtailing to the right i hit my brakes in turn understeering my car and spun it into a full 180 and up over a curb. Car is fine; I am fine. No one was hurt I was just shaken up and proud i kept it under control as good as I did. I pulled the linkage back to idle position after a small tug and idled it into a neighbor hood. Jimmy rigged the spring back on a eased it home. I drove it to work today and she is straight and no wheel hop at highway speed.

I have a headache due to trying to read that; I stopped reading about half way down. Did you hit something because you were driving like an idiot in the rain?

No sorry it was kinda confusing. 1st off i don't drive like an Idiot in the rain. My throttle return spring broke while accelerating from a light and my foot fell to the floor since nothing was holding the throttle back. when it fell my throttle became stuck at WOT, after 60 or so Ft. of fishtailing and trying to keep it straight I shut the motor down and I had over steered, Flipped me around on a full 180 and brakes locked into a curb.

Good to hear you, and your Car, are OK Austin. Bet your heart hasn't beaten that hard before! The best thing to do in a situation like that is to stomp on the clutch petal, or pop the transmission into neutral. When you shut down the motor, you loose power assist to you brakes and steering.

But all's well that ends well, you and your Car came out of it OK.
