    Wild West Tech Day

    1/9/10

Newly minted Club VP Roxys ongoing engine tear down and soon to be rebuild.

    Austin changing out header gaskets.

Jemal needed a pulley noise diagnosed.

Unknown, new? member considered putting in (heavy) Steeda? subframe connectors. Things didnt fit right and I mentioned to him that even Griggs Racing doesnt bother to include connectors in their 14K suspension kit because they feel its not needed. The chassis is stiff enough as is.

Greg wanted to change the third link bushing to poly. DONT bother to try this. The result is NOT justified by the effort required OR the hassle.

Shop owner Joe starting work on something I suspect he wished he had passed on.

Pictures of the Fays 2 Watts link. The anti roll bar rubs against the cross link when the suspension is in long rebound, however.

"Well, were committed now", says Joe.

    Extracted, FINALLY.

    Clean bore.

Shop employee Rocky working on the bushing shell.

Member Rich and car owner Greg working the "special" scratch built tool they fashoned to press the bushing shell back into the housing mount.

Rich cutting a piece of tubing to improve the tools function.

The after math of the extraction effort.

Lunch. Roxy, Joe, Rich, Rocky, Paul, seated or standing at the table.

    Customer cars.
