The jury is still out on doing the RV / trailer thing or just running out in the cars.

I'm confident your car will hold together!

The solid with give you something in the way of weight savings for a strict Drag car, but I've got several pals who run solidly into the tens (in bad Cali air) with the stock IRS.

Several well documented mid to high 11 sec cars have well over 500 passes on sticky tires as well, so I don't think it will be a huge issue with a diff brace and decent launch technique.

Hell, I had well over 100 passes on sticky tires with my '01, which would have been considered impossible if you listened to all the internet hype.

I've been round and round with the IRS vs Solid swap deal. Still not sure.

Just check and make sure they welded up your torq. boxes with that solid. If you plan on running super sticky tires with a good clutch, those things rip the sheet metal like paper.

Had to do the boxes on my old LX.

I will see how long the IRS holds.
I like the idea of being able to lauch on slicks at 6000 RPMs on a solid.
I would never even think of doing that on the stock IRS.

I had to take the rpm's to 6500 with the car completely stock...it just bogged

never dumped, but 6000rpms launches worked for alot of IRS in SoCal. Just some squirls dumped it and BAM!

to go back on track, GEARS for would do better then a CAI.

I am going to have a hard hit with the Ram HD and billet steel flywheel.
But if nothing breaks it will have 1 hell of a 60 ft time.
