TuksonMike ^ Sounds like hes itching for more power too.

Over the past 5 years Ive been perusing all the Cobra forums and there are more than a handful of Cobra long blocks making over 1000 to the wheels with stock internals. The tune and the fuel is the key to it though. Weak point in the motor is the pistons

    More:

    1. It's not the block that's the problem... a prepped stock block will live at over 1200 horse...
    2. the pistons don't shatter... they are forged 4032 pistons they are very strong...
    3. The failures that are piston related are generally due to the outrageously tight piston to wall clearance... which elevated cylinder temps from...
hot spot induced detonation, lean detonation, too much timing detonation, and just old school over heating... cause them to try to seize to the walls!!!
    4. Sustained wide open throttle passes(high speed roll races) of 30 seconds or more, or BANZAI 5th gear top end pulls.. will also tax the fuel delivery and heat removal systems of otherwise well tuned modified cars.

You also got to remember that most to all of the compound boost cars are DEAD. there was a stock motored 03/04 Cobra out in Texas that made 978rwhp and lived 14 months and was beat to shit every day since it was a DD

Been asking around and seems that the case. I did find this though today in regards to the 850rwhp Cobra in the video above
