    Windshield

    Hey Guys,

I was coming back the weekend before Thanksgiving from Cave Creek on a little cruise and a rock came up and hit the windshield. It put a nice size chip with some cracks in it about maybe a total of 1.5 inches in length. Does anyone know a good place to perhaps repair it on the east side? I really don't want to change the glass since it's Carlite and has a date on it. The cracks are not noticeable on the outside since the chip is in the tint band.

    Thanks,
    Chris

I could use this information as well as I need a winshield replaced. I heard if the winshield needs to be replaced to use PPG glass.

I just replaced my windshield with PPG glass. I got a great deal installed through Premier Windshields.

Call Hilton Auto glass. they do great work. i had my front window replaced by him and even with some strips being 40 years of age he did a fantastic job. And he added the top of the window/sun tint. I recommend them.

Thanks, I am going to see if they can try and fix it first and see how it looks before replacing it. I'd hate to give up that carlite one. :(

Yes he should be able to. His name is Kenny. He used to me my neighbor and a good friend of our family. He does it for a living and somewhat of a hobby. he enjoys what he does and that usually means quality.
