if I remember corectly its at the base of the steering column two
screws and a plug with a long wire (like a piece of coat hanger) that runs
up to the lock on the column not hard to do I'd have to look at it to remember
how it comes apart been awhile since I did one
if its not the column lock setup then a paper clip and your key paper clip goes in the
little hole turn key to left as far as it goes lock will come out undo lock ring switch falls out unplug wires and put the new one in

    88 Ignition Switch

Thanks so much for the reply's, apparently mine came apart internally which prevented turning the switch from the off position. I had to drill the switch out.
