Hello Fazm,
I was browsing the Copperstate forum and found your profile explaining your car. WOW, your V6 Mustang is fast. We have a couple of members in our club, (RCMC), that are running V6 ponies, and they are really impressed with your track times. Can you help them out with advise on setting up their cars to perform as well as your is. Your times are very impressive. Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Keith

That would be great! But if it is allot of trouble don't worry about it. They can always talk to you at the show. I do believe some V6 owners have to work so they would really appreciate it the help with a break down of your setup.
Thank you,

Hey Fazm, are you happy with that SoS custom radio dash panel with the gauges? I have a Pioneer deck in my car and I have been looking for a setup like this that places two gauges beneath the single din, I just want something nice that doesn't need to be fabbed up from scratch.

I was reading this thread and was actually impressed until I got to the
Nitrous part. At that point it doesn't interest me much more. Living on the
ragged edge depending on Nitrous to get a 12 second time slip isn't my idea
of impressive. Anyone can install Nitrous on anything and make it quite fast
in the 1/4 or 1/8th mile....... The rest of the car and the mods are pretty nice though!
What does it run off the bottle?
its never been run on the bottle, as the nitrous simply cools the outside of the intercooler, to help lower iat's. it never enters the engine.
even at that, the 12.03 run was before the cooler system was even installed on the car.
ragged edge? car has over 70k miles on it, daily driver, over 40k miles of it with the turbo as well.
if i wanted to push it (to the point where i was worried about the motor) i could probably cut off some 11.1 or quicker times.

My bad..... So you have nitrous and don't spray the motor? Interesting,
as I read over all your mods I guess I figured that since you had a nitrous
setup that you were spraying the motor.
Okay....then I am impressed with your 12 second times!:goodidea:
I just get really tired of all of the ricer crowds taking small displacement
motors and beat the crap out of them and spray them to go fast! That just
doesn't impress me, I prefer displacement and no nitrous myself. Plus the
ricer/smaller motors sound terrible.
apperciate it, im not an all out drag racer, so im not worried about pushing it.
ill be picking up a 2011 anyway :) going in on jan 18th to order

Nice! Bring it out to the Pavillions car show some Saturday night once you
get your 2011! The 2011 will be a GT 500KR right?:woot1:
was 100% set on the 5.0 @ 400hp. if its that or more its what ill be getting, if its less, ill be picking up a 3.7
whats ompressive to me is that the stock short block can handle that much stress..

stock longblock :) lol.
forged rods from the factory, but shit pistons and crank. the weak link so far is the wrist pins i believe.
whats the back round to the engine.. its based off the early 3.8?
whats the back round to the engine.. its based off the early 3.8?
the 3.8 is a pushrod motor, the 4.0 is a sohc motor, but wasnt always.
actually based off the original 2.0 v6 back in the late 60s
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Cologne_V6_engine
ahh so its related to the explorer motor.. and the old 2.9 liter that was in the ranger/bronco II.. ahh i see you posted a link..will read..
