The weather looks great for the weekend. Dress in layers because fall is here. We were down to 29 degrees this morning. It is expected to be sunny with highs in the 70s which means it will be very hot in the sun but cool in the shade. Early morning should be about 35 degrees. We try to space cars so canopies can be used. Just be sure to stake them down because we do get some wind.

The cruise from Show Low to the Hon Dah Casino (15 miles) will leave from the DD Furniture parking lot on the Duece of Clubs at Central at 4:15 on Friday. The lot really fills up so it is wise to get there early. Each entry includes 2 tickets for the BBQ at Hon Dah. You need to check in at the Pinetop Lakes Golf Course to get your tickets. Additional tickets can be purchased.

We will start parking cars at 7:00 AM Saturday. Cars are parked by class.
I hope to see a bunch of Mustangs here! :pepper:

I'm heading up on Friday morning on my own - hope to hook up with some club members for the return. Looking forward to this show - heard lots of good things!

The show weekend was great and everything came off pretty smoothly except for a 45 minute delay getting the cars on the field Saturday because of frost. Once the sun got up it was about 80 degrees. We had about 30 Mustangs with 7 no-shows. The guy that took these pictures must not be into Mustangs. A couple snuck in but not many. About 1/3 of the cars are included.

Here are a few pics of some ponies and pony engine bays. Great show and the company was great too. The only bummer was having to drive 200 miles back to Phoenix without power steering after an observant looker noticed my power steering bracket was cracked!

The parts been ordered. Roger thought he might have had one at his place in Pinetop from his 65, but I think I have a 67/68 set-up on my 66. I ended up removing the belt before the drive back. Did not want to imagine what would happen if the bracket busted clean through with the engine doing 3000 RPM!! The drive back was fine - just had to take it a little easy on the curves :Bucktooth:

I will likely not make it to Dobson High this weekend though.

Wow, that would have been very bad if that gave way and just come in your DD and test drive a Ford to help out the band and hang for a few!
