It's a good thing the refs were on the Steelers side. That roughing the passer call was like a Jr High tackle. He slightly pushed him. Not to mention the personal foul for running into the place holder.

Way to give the game away to the Steelers, refs...

It was a great game though. ...

Harrison should have been ejected as soon as he pulled that blatant no play involved move. What a jerk off...

Commercials really sucks except for a few moments during the Doritos and GoDaddy runs... After the game, I had an overwhelming urge to punch koalas.....

What I was really surprised at was at the ceremonies after the game not one Steeler, player, coach, owner, acknowledged anything about the Cards. That was really classy.....not!

Any player with class would always mention their opponents effort and say it was a great game..

seriously....i'm a giants fan at heart so i really didn't care what the outcome was....but holy crap that was a one sided officiated game.

The roughing the passer was ridiculous. He didn't even take another step and you throw that flag?

The roughing the holder penalty was legit, you don't touch the holder, he is down on one knee and completely defenseless, and running him over isn't allowed. That doesn't matter however it ended the same.

Harrison was classless several times during the game. Not only on Fitzgerald but what about on Jerhame Urban in throwing him to the ground when he was just sitting there. I realize football is a violent sport, I played, but there are times that you know you did something that was a penalty and did things that were stupid.

Here they come, sore loosers... blah blah blah....You guys had the game won but could not stop Ben in the end.....There were plenty of calls against the Steelers but of course you didn't see or mention them...They did talk about the Cardinals but all week its been Cardinal this and Cardinals that destiny crap. Harrison did push it alot but when your that emotional and that GOOD as he is everything is magnified oh yeah including his 100 yard record setting Interception for a TD. Most of the Cardinals were watching him run instead of trying to tackle him except for Fitz. The roughing call, yeah it was bunk but since you guys seem not to watch any other games this year there were tons of roughing the QB that were BS including 3 against the Steelers in the playoffs... YOU have close the deal and they couldn't do it...Blame this blame that all I hear is whinning to say the least 2:00 left to go and they could not stop Big Ben..1st and 20 after a holding call and they couldn't stop Big Ben, triple coverage in the end zone and they couldn't stop Big Ben..................

Sore loser nothing. At the very least they could have reviewed the last call. A questionable call with seconds left on the clock in the 4th quarter of the Super Bowl and its not reviewed??????

Dave, tell me that the roughing the passer penalty was legit and I will find countless videos of Harrison doing the same thing this year with no call.

Would you like to see the videos of Harrison punching Fitzgerald or Urban again? What about the block in the back on the int return (Warner should have fallen and caused a pile and the half is over but hindsight)? Dave it was a poorly officiated Super Bowl. Fan's from all over the country think so not just Cardinal fans.

Dave did you really expect the half ass AZ fans to act any differently? They are only fans because AZ got somewhere. Pittsburgh Fans support the team during good and bad. If PIT lost I wouldn't be crying like a first grader.

I am not surprised one bit by the reaction from the AZ Sissies.:hyper:

I'm not whinning....just stating the fact the Steelers would of never won that game without the refs help...

Jump into any forum that has people that could care less about who won and they all believe the game was jacked to help the Steelers....

WOW!!! Bold statements. I didn't hear much from anybody on here about the Steelers until they made the Super Bowl?

My roommate, season ticket holder since 1988. I have been going to Cardinals games since the Joe Bugel era. Listened to the home games I didn't get to go to on the radio. Get out of here with the "all Cardinals fans are bandwagon fans" crap

Listen, all week long I have had crap from Cardinal Fans and let them gloat all over the place and only response form me has been we'll see, not one slam against the Cards ever but I tell you some fans here are true red good fans but the fact is season tickets are still available for Cardinals. My family have had season tickets for 41 years!!!! we all chipped in when we had to pay $2500 per ticket to transfer the seats to Heinz Field thats $2500 X 10 Tickets and we dished it out. Like I said in an earlier post, this is a tough one because I have been on the sidelines for many Cards Games Litterally Enzone Medic for over 25 games at Sun Devel Stadium and watched them get beat a bunch and still root for them. The Steelers have done it all the time with no big name players, that is until they win... And they do that well now but that was not the case many years ago.....Also remember where most of the coaches came from.....

I didn't say anything about the Steelers themselves. Just that the refereeing seemed rather one sided for most of the game. If I could afford season tickets I would get them but $750 at one time is pretty steep for even upper level seats for a 22 year old. I really wish I could afford them but I can't. Only was able to go to one game this year due to finances as well.

Only a couple coaches came from the Pittsburgh staff.

Of all the Superbowls that the Cards were going to be in why oh why did it have to be the Steelers... The fact is guys The Steelers fact. (ESPN, Sporting News and NFL Network) had the hardest/toughest schedule of any team since 68 and went 12- 4 and won the SB

ChuckD

I am a Chiefs fan (don't be hatin) but here are a few facts. The NFL needs to step up to keep it even on both sides of the ball, there were more calls that should have been made. Plus a few rules need to be changed. No challenge in the final 2 minutes??? Thats like telling a girl she cant be there for a money shot. No reviews in the final 2 minutes, thats bs also. It would have made alot of wrongs right throughout the year. Was it a good game, yes. Nothing either team needs to do cause you have to play hard in the big game. The NFL needs to step up to assure its called down the middle. The refs missed several calls and no one can deny that. Not to say that the Cards could capitalize on them cause they were making mistakes themselves. Plus one thing you didnt see or even talked about on the last TD was a reverse look at the feet. Only 1 was down, the right foot was on top of the left foot. Yes there are pictures to prove it so dont say I am bitchin cause they didnt win. Thats why the challenge and review rule needs to be changed.

ChuckD

Nope. NFL rules are no challanges or review in the final 2 minutes. That was the same with the final Cards play. IMHO either have it for the whole game or none of it.

BurnTire
02-02-09, 04:48 PM
I didn't say challenge. I recall the officials went upstairs to review the reception and the call on the field stood.

ChuckD
02-02-09, 05:05 PM
Call on the field stood due to the fact that they were going to review but couldnt review it accordingto league rules. That goes to say if they did review it and overturned it the Steelers would be going ape cause of the rules. That would be like the NHRA say that you can run under boost until the finals. The NFL needs consistancy in it all. The teams will be teams and sometime emotions rise, but the league itself needs to check itself.
