So when I bought my car used, found out that it had a bad LSD that needed to be replaced and it had 3.73's. I bought new a new LSD and FRPP 3.73 to fix and try to get the whine away. I had them installed perfectly according to the shop i dealt with. The majority of the whine is gone but its about 40% still there. I have a weird feeling that it's not the rear end. Anything else it could be? Could it be my aluminum driveshaft? IDK

What control arms do you have on the car.
does it change from coasting to accel to decel?

Sound only occurs at deceleration.
And I don't know what rear control arms I have. The guy I bought the car from new nothing about it. They are gold if that helps.
Gold...Could they be yellow maybe? Maximum Motorsports brand then?
Is it definitely coming from the rear of the car? If not the remaining whine could be the transmission...which could be a problem, or it could be fine as certain high performance transmission fluids will increase transmission whine.

not sure. but could that be making the noise? like i said, noise only occurs at deceleration.

How you doing? Just to be clear - is it a clunk or a whine? a clunk could be your clutch packs in your posi.

Well if it is a whine that is from the rear- I would have to say have your inner and outer rear wheel bearings checked.

When you swapped the gears did they change out the pinion bearing by anychance. It could be a bad pinion bearing or preload
