This GT forum needs some love.
As of now I'm waiting for my new rotating assembly to show up.
Livernois is kinda Slooooooooooooow.
I'm getting my car beefed up for turbo's.
Here's what's coming:
Livernois Forged Stroker rotating assembly.
Mahle forged pistons
Manley Rods
Ford Racing Cobra Crank (forged)
ARP main stud kit
Modular Madness high-volume oil pump
Modular Madness custom rear sump pan (with 2 bungs for my turbo oil returns)
Head gaskets
ARP head bolts.
Long block assembled by Modular Madness, using my ported PI?s and cams baby!
Replace MAF (the C&L I have sucks donkey ballz)
Newer chip
Dyno tune.
Since he's doing the assembly and tune, if it blows up, he fixes it!
Here's some pics.

You will like the 301, I love mine. Mine picked up a little better low end and has a lot better tq curve. as far as hp goes, I didnt see much of a change, but im also running dished pistons for lower compression, One day ill go turbo, but thats later on down the road. The thing i like the most is somehow you get a deep and meaner sounding exhaust. My buddy and i have the same exact set up right down the the brand and mine sounds way more muscular  .

Picked up the longblock today!!
The machine shop took 1 week to hone the block - they were busy, but hey, I've waited for everything else, so bring it!
Cute little electric WP up front there. I'm gonna wire it on a relay so I can turn it on at the track or whatever when I wanna keep it cooler ;)

The stock POS looking manifolds actually flow pretty good NA. Shorty hedder gains are like 5 HP on average... best benefit is better sound IMO.
The trubo kit will be replacing the whole exhaust to the catback, so I dont wanna spend 350 bucks on it.

I am doing the MMR cage so it bolts in and the rear braces can be welded to the hoop from outside the car so so that should keep the fire hazard down. LOL

the silver one by the armrest will be the remote bottle opener.
Do you guys like it below the radio, or in the ashtray?
I'll need to do some cutting to get it lower in the ashtray.
having it hidden would be pretty cool.
I also think it looks really nice on the dash, right above the shifter. easy to use.

Man the stock manifolds look like a POS>
they actually flow OK, but I just don't like them.
I'm hoping these will get rid of the backpressure poping.
The Drivers side fit up with my K memeber clearance.
the Passanger side, I had to raise the motor and remove the mount to fit it up.
Standard finger tip, body contorsoning to tighten up the bolts.
I like the flexable dipstick tube, looks nice and is MUCH easier to install!

She runs!!
Still needs a tune.
They got the WP wired, under hood buttoned up, and are turning the bottle around - have to lengthen some of the wires there.
Electric fuel pump on.
Waiting on new plug wires and finalizing some some wiring
Then it's onto the dyno for the first tune!
I'll get a vid then. It was packed in with about 7 other cars, so I didn't take one.
Those Mahle pistons/rings break in really quick. That's cool.
Later this week, I'll get some video footage then.

I took a vid of a pull, but have a new camera, so I'm a noob at using it. the clip is like 84 Megs, lol. High res.
I'll be back tomorrow for the nitrous tune's and will take another.

280 RWHP, 318 TQ
good torque curve. fades out about 5200rpm.
keep in mind, the motor's built for boost-
9:1 compression, loaded dyno, 4800ft. elevation.
Tomorrow they should do the tune and run on the Nitrous. :2thumbs:

Had a small snag...
the shop was working on the car, had it running with one guy under the hood, and another was looking at the wiring going to the switch panel.
and,
It activated both stages of the nitrous.
reved up for a few seconds and BOOM.
Blew up the intake. shot plastic pieces at the guy in front.
Check it out:
http://www.sn95forums.com/hosting/users/dalamar96/intakeboom.jpg />
Ordered an aluminum Manifold from professional products.
one of the FEW options for 2V's
anyway, there's the update on that.
They're looking into why, think it's something with the rpm signal.
Dunno yet.

Thats sucks. Hope the guy is allright. And yes the weak plastic 2v intake manifolds. The one on my Bird cracked on its own power without even the help of nitrous for that matter.

I've had her home a few days now... and WOW, it feels GOOD!
the suspension feels great, night and day difference.
the motor feels awsome, it's really punchy, and sounds good.
I've still got a few things to wrap up (like always) and the clutch is kinda annoying. they say it needs to break in, but damn! it's really abrupt.
so we'll see what happens with that.
The nitrous is fun! I gotta play with the switch settings and stuff, and wire up my gauge on it still.
I spent the weekend cleaning out my Dingy, cluttery garage.

Here's some pix of the progress.
I've had years to forge my opinion of the mustang body style.
I'm a fan of the sn95 body style, but there's a few things I don't like about it.
SO, I couldn't find any body parts that looked like the whole package.
Sooo, I went a bit custom.
I found a great body guy, and he has been awsome to go the custom rought, and they've put skill and hard work into it.
Here's some pics of the progress.
This side skirt was the closest thing I could find to the look I wanted.
they had to shave wedges out of it, and rework the whole piece.

Now for the back bumper. the stock bumper fit's good, but I've never liked how it's higher up from the side view....
We looked hard at this part for a few days, tried blending a piece from a 99 mustang bumper, didn't turn out too good.
then they had these kicker pieces from an 04 excursion...
some heating and bending and they bonded it on the bottom like this...
"different is good"

On the paint, I was planning on White with floating blue pearl and maybe a blue stripe. but as the body turned out, I really liked how clean it looked, and so we decided no stripe, and switched to a true silver pearl metalic over white. The white pics above is base coat, PPG pure white toner.
pearl went over that, then the clear.
Here's after they shot the pearl and clear:
http://www.actioncompaction.com/dalamar_96/body/clear1.jpg
http://www.actioncompaction.com/dalamar_96/body/clear2.jpg
There was some fisheye in the clear, which they tried to buff out, but there were a few deep dimples. so my guy sanded down the whole car and is reclearing the whole thing. I'm totally impressed with his level of workmanship, and him standing behind his work. I didn't ask for it, he was in the process of doing it when I stopped by today...
I"m bring them all lunch tomorrow.
So there it is in a nutshell
next week, maybe, it should be all done. :woot1:
