wow! been there done that. lol.

i have flown planes, though not for very long as the first one had a reciever crap out, and the second one crashed on take off. after that failed venture i decided i would just stick to what i knew best. 1/10 scale off road cars. i have ran losi, associated, jconcepts cars. ran 1/10th gas truck for about 4 years, and was ranked in the top ten in the state for a couple of those years. also have raced 2wd and truck stock, being an A-main contender in the arizona state champs a few times. i carried 4 sponsors while running those classes. this all got derailed when i got into the mustang thing really heavily. doh!

a pic of the two vehicles i still have, first my team associated factory team B4

http://www.msprotege.com/members/AzMz6/RC%20cars/N4%20(Medium).jpg

and my team associated factory team T4

http://www.msprotege.com/members/AzMz6/RC%20cars/newae!%20019%20(Medium).jpg

those were the good ol days!!

oh, and the sponsors were Team Tekin, Team Birdman, rc10b4.com (which i also moderated) and Avid R/C Products.

oh, forgot, done boats too!! infact i still have a Dumas Shelly Foss Tugboat. have had a few boats. too much fun!

I just ordered an upgraded motor, esc, prop and battery for the corsair.

I am fairly new also. I have only been flying RC's since October and real planes since May 1988. LOL

I've done all three, planes, cars and boats. I currently have a TMaxx collecting dust on the shelf a ducted fan plane still in kit form and an air boat about 50% done. I just need time and a place to work on them all!

Tried planes and choppers, but got tired of looking up. Still have my Clodbuster (and some other asst R/C cars) and my 4 1/2 foot tug boat. It has run in 3 foot waves in the east river in NYC.

I race RC Buggies ( Team Losi ) for 12 years. I loved it. Wasn't ranked anything like Tony but, it has all the thrill as if you were racing the real thing. I use to race at RC Mania on 35th Ave but after over twenty years, they closed the doors and sold the land.

Now like Tony its Mustangs.

Well I was thinking of starting an RC Forum. There are a few big ones out there, but nothing specific to AZ which is one of the best areas in the country for year round RC activities.

Took a stab at the Real Flight RC Flight Simulator over the weekend. Girlfriend's dad is really into it and he says it's as close to flying real planes as you can get without actually flying/crashing planes. It was lots of fun, and I'd like to learn to fly rc planes soon.

I would join, If I had a place to take it (besides the front yard) I would dust off my r/c's!

I just bought an E-flite Blade CX2 helicopter. I'll post my reviews in the new site. My first Heli, can't wait. This purchase was unlike my regular compulsive buying. I researched them and this should be a great starter heli.

You name I've done it...except helicopters...tooooo expensive. Raced r/c cars for a number of years at RC Mania...which is now closed. Flown all types of RC airplanes, did a lot racing with warbirds and quickies (both AMA and 428). Been into control line for years and still doing it. Had a couple of boats....too many hobbies.

Care full with that helli. i will tell you right now. i have a blade CP Pro. best for the buck. and those blades are not like any other helicopters. they have balls. i have seen ones do complete back flips hit the floor and still be able to take off the next flight. i have carbon fiber props on top and in back and they are beastly. Make sure you start with the beginners kit. ( IT WILL SAVE YOU $100 in fuel alone when going back and forth for parts. the kit has like two orange balls you attach. best place to start tinkering with the tunning and stuff (FYI) would be a gymnasium. NO air movement and a HUGE amount of room. go to your local high school and ask the front desk if you can tune. tell them its electric and it will be only to tighten some screws. when you are successful with this get a pro. you will never want gas or any other helicopter.

All landings have been very good. It lands much better than my corsair.

It is a truly awesome plane.

Having an extra 100 watts over what is recommended is nice also. LOL
