While I have no intentions of selling my car, it's sad to see how much the price has dropped over the last few months. Seems like they were holding their value pretty well for a good few years. Last year you couldn't find an 03/04 for under $20k now it seems almost common to see them in the teens. Maybe it's due to the winter comming.

Gotta say I do love this cold weather :laughing1:

Whats killing the value of them is people who need to unload them and let them go for whatever they can get.....

They will always float around the low 20K mark I'd say. They're going to be like the supras. Also, if people keep wrecking them, that will bring the value up a a bit too.

KBB/NADA have been off for years. Says my Cobra is worth $22k or less which is laughable. Same car sold for $28k less than a year ago. With gas coming back down, Im hoping values come back up. If anything sales will increase, which should bring the market back.

Crazy how many Cobras on SVTP have been for sale for 5+ months.

Lightnings, Cobras, and even Harley Davidson F150s have held there value in the past few years. But as vehicle get older we run it to the issue of bank lending. What I mean is, most banks will not finance a vehicle that is older than 6 years... thats were many Lightnings and HD F150s are losing value because dealers have a hard time selling them, and consumers have a hard time getting financing on them.

Gas is going down ($1.78 Regular @ QT today) but unfortunitly that alone will not drive the values up on these cars. The auto market has been hit hard with high gas prices this summer and a shakey economy. It is nice to fill up my Navigator for $67 instead of $100. But we are not going to see values go up.

He is a fine example, I was watching the Adesa Auto Auction live today with my used car manager. A 2008 Navigator white 12k 4x4 w/ DVD and Nav sold for $29000 and a black one sold for $28,600. These are $50k vehicles that were sold 12 months ago. A 2008 V6 Mustang coupe base 15k sold for $12k. Almost 1/2 of what the sold for new 12 months ago. The entire market is being affected. Currently you can purchase a new F150 Supercrew that has a MSRP of $36000 for $24500!

The best thing to do is just stick with your Cobras and Mustangs and jsut enjoy them!

A vehicle is only worth what a person is willing to spend on it.

I have always kept my vehicles for over ten years anyways.

My cobra, as an "investment", has outperformed my 401k over the past 2 years I've owned it!

Although it is a bummer things are losing value, it makes it nice to pick up some good deals while things are affordable!

I believe those are wholesale prices.....at a dealer only auction. I've been to that auction a few times and it's absolutly crazy in there..

That $29K Nav will be on a lot for $39K a week later...

Even when I retire, I am taking mine to the Philippines. They have a 1/4 mile track where Clark Air Force Base used to be. They race on Saturday nights. I will probably have the only cobra on that freaking island. I am going to tear me up some imports. :)

Seems like there is one wrecked every other day, at the rate these people are totaling their cobras ours will be back up in value in no time.

They only made what 19,000 cobras in 03/04?
I think they made under 5,000 in 04. So mine is already rare.

$50,000 obo... Any buyers?
