Does anyone have the part #'s to extended studs that fit my car and what are the best if i run spacers up front( for the skinnes)?

Don't hold me to it, but aren't the studs included with the spacers? That O/R X pipe, is taking about 15hp. away from your car. An O/R X pipe, is fine for an all out race car, but not for an everyday driver/ part time racer. You lose too much needed backpressure. I would almost be willing to wager, if you put free flowing cats on her she would break into the 12'S, Mike.:pinkthumb:

Are you going to use slip on spacers?

I use centerline convo pros in the front
Baer 1" slip on spacer
ARP 3.5" studs for the cobras front hubs. Baer has those also.

Pro stars can cause some issues with tech in the front.

i don't have a single issue with tech on my prostars. and there is no "funny" business or anything. i have a 3/4" spacer, 4.5" baer wheel studs with 15x3.5 prostars on the front of my cobra.

4.5" ? If they made them that long I would have kept the pro stars.

3/4 spacer will clear everything?

4.5 inch studs? Do they act as curb feelers too?

You can read all about it here.

I dumped the pro stars for wheels that do not cause these issues.

looks like i am retarded, it is a 3.5" stud. works good though. i feel confident, even driving them 30 miles to the track. its held up well for the past year. that thread does have all the good info in it...

Cliff note version. the prostars use a long 1 3/8" shanked lug nut because the area of rim that the studs has to pass thru is long leaving very little stud protruding past the rim.

The centerline convo pros use a 1/2" shanked lug allowing much more stud to pass into the hex portion of the lug nut.

On my wheels with a 1" spacer the studs go past the end of the lug nuts. Remember the top 1/2" of the ARP studs are not threaded.

i plan to pic up different lugs with a shorter nut length, and that will help that out. think i have made 10-12 trips of 30+ miles to the track with this setup, and more than 50 passes with it. so i am not worryin anymore.

Good pics.......You pass tech every time with that setup?

I usually pass with my fox with weld draglites in the front, stock length studs, closed end lug nuts....

I just tell them they are extended studs but have not bought open end lug nuts......

That doesn't really do anything other than make it look better. The lugs could be 2 feet long (curb feelers) and it would be legal as long as there was 1/2" of stud thread engagement in the hex portion of the lug nut.

The NHRA rule is that you must have lug nut hex head thread engagement equal to the diameter of the stud. We use 1/2" studs so to be completely legal you must have 1/2" of the threaded portion of the stud threaded into 1/2" of the hex portion of the lug nut. The non thread portion of the ARP's does not count for this 1/2".

This is how a 1" spacer looks with the Centerline Convo Pros.
More than enough thread engagement.
