What class airplane? Are we talking a racing airplane or just a dink and dunk Cessna?

This is what I hope to one day at the very least fly and would love to own.

the closest I come is that another hobby of mine is RC airplanes. I was out flying this morning and took a video by strapping an old cell phone to the bottom of my plane this morning. It was not too bad although you don't have much to look at since I am flying over a dirt parking lot. IT is a fun hobby as every plane fly's completely different and even though it sucks to crash, you get to walk away....

737 = Boring

Agreed. You could get a mothballed 707, strip it out, and do a barrel roll like the first one!

Of course that would scare the pantene out of MY HAIR

Now that's what I'm talking about. Maybe one day I'll get my pilots license. Used to love it when a guy I used to know would take me up in a small airplane and let me fly the thing around the valley. Those were fun times.

They are alot of fun! My priorities were the plane first, then the car.
Did you say a little two seater (on the left) or two engines (on the right).

Sell that Cobra then go getcha one. I highly recommend buying or building one in the experimental catagorie, like a Van's RV series, otherwise they just are'nt affordable

looking at Vans predicted total build cost its not affordable anyway. I need to get a lot of stuff paid off and buy a house before I buy a plane. I could try to get my PPL tho...

Yea I know it aint cheap, but ya just do a little at a time. Back in 91 when I started the plane you could buy it in four different kits. I really did a little at a time did'nt finish till 03. Same thing with the ppl. Every time I thought I had an extra 100 bucks I would go take a lesson. Three years later I had the 40 hours required to take my check ride. Damn I hope the mach does'nt take that long. But I have a feeling it will be like the plane, never done always something to add or do. Crap I wrote a book, Sorry. Go for your ppl. Most of the time they have a free intro ride!

$280 for the F4U, Spitfire is not as powerful from parkzone.

Neither airplane is one to learn with.

Is the landing gear optional?

Yes. I removed the gear and use the skids for grass landings.
The wheels do not work well is grass.

This will be my next plane

You can get as crazy on the planes as you want to. Retractable landing gear is only the start and continues into full gas turbine engines, jets, ect.......

There's an RC plane shop on Gilbert/Williams Field right by my house.

I'll have to stop in see what they have.
