Car Gathering

Hello Group,
I have talked with some of you before on line, but I finally registered so that I can get in on some talk.
A friend of mine is going to be in Phoenix this weekend, and he is driving a 2005 Roush Mustang and would like to participate in some car fun. I told him about the Pavilions on Indian Bend, but some one mentioned to him that there was another area where car enthusiasts gather to hang and talk shop other than the Pavilions. The one in question is supposed to be on the westside. He thinks he overheard someone talking about it being around or at a "Stadium".
I told him that I have only been to the Pavilion gathering, and that due to living in Payson, I don't know the valley areas very well.
If anyone could please give me any information that would help, we would appreciate it very much.

I am not sure about the west side location, but the Pavilions on Saturday is the big event.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, the Pavilions is GREAT. But the Mustang owner we talked to breifly talked about another gathering on the west side other than the Pavilions.
I read where CopperState has been challenged by a MOPAR club, and that you all are going to try and make an impression on their challenge. RCMC, ( Rim Country Mustang Club ), has a couple of members that will be in your area tomorrow, and want to know if it would be OK for them to meet up with you all at the Walgreens and follow you to the challenge location.
Sounds like this could be FUN!

Hey keith! Yes there is a Friday Gathering at the Safeway at 91st and Northern I think and the Pavillions on Saturday is always a place to venture out to.

It was Wild West Mustangs that were challenged..

Hey Paysonpony, let me fill you in, tomorrow night we (Wild West Mustang Club) are heading to the show you read about, and yes your friend is more than welcome to meet us at walgreen's (greenway and dysart @ 7:15pm) and head over there. Should be a lot of fun.

The west side cruise-in that you were told about is put on by the Wild West Mustang Club and we meet at 91st and Northern behind the Autozone, every friday nite.

On every saturday nite there is a cruise in at the Safeway at 83rd and Beardsley.

And the last I heard Pavillions McDonalds was bought out and that cruise was shut down, but you'll need to check with some one that knows for sure, as that's been the rumor going around for the last month and nobody I know, seems to know for a fact.

Tell your friend we will look forward to seeing him.

Pavillions is still up and going on, just fyi. Yes a group bought the land but they want to do more with the "Car Show" We'll have to see what the "More" is..

Good to know, that rumor has been going on for a while now. at least on our side of town, lol. Made it over there one time about 6 months ago. but too far a drive for me, I got lost on the way home, had to break out the GPS, lol.

83rd and beardsley is 100x better then pavillions and much closer if he is in the west valley (its about a 10 min drive from the stadium get off the 101 at union hills make a left and then make a right on 83rd and its down a little ways on the right in the safeway parking lot). If your friend likes rice then head out to the pavillions

yea it packs it in. I havent been there in 2 months but used to go almost every weekend (been working every weekend). It was packed though had trouble getting parking last time. normally over 100 cars last time i went easily over 150

Si Senior!!! We went rumbling down Bell then turned around and came back east. There were cops all over, one followed us and I am + he ran my plates. Not sure why he didn't pull me over........
