Thankfully not for one of those Chris Hansen kiddie porn stories:woot1:..... Last night I saw their story on the lost and unclaimed money and property. At the end they had a quick link on how you can check to see if your name was on any lists so I thought what the heck? Did a quick search on Az and came up blank. I also did a search in Indiana as I lived there for 25 yrs and was amazed to see my name and home address pop up showing that best buy owed me $658 from when I worked there over a decade ago. I didn't leave on good terms and have not shopped there since because of it so that is the only reason I can imagine they didn't send it since my folks still live there... SOB's can I su for a decade worth of interest on $658? After filling out a short form online it said I should have the check in 90 days:pepper:, hopefully I will no need it to fix my motor....

Do a quick google search for dateline money story and you can find the same links. Ya never know.........

What is the link to the website and what do they need? Could it be a scam where you have to pay them to get your money?

I did a google search for "dateline unclaimed property" and went to the msnbc site that had the story. They had links to each states unclaimed property website. You just enter your name or address and see if anything comes up. Mine is in indiana and the site was done by that IN attorney general. To claim it I had to give my SSN and answer a few questions and they are sending it. I am not worried about it being a scam after being on dateline, msnbc.com, and from the attorney general.
