Haha try saying that 5 times fast :woot1:
Well anyways, i'm thinking about getting rid of that 4x4 look i've got going on, those leaf springs in the rear have got to go lol. I can't decide on going with H&R race, sport, or cutting the stockers i'm also interested in poly isos. I'm leaning toward race but the polys will probably not give me much of a drop with those race springs, I could go race with stock isos, or just cut the stock springs to where I want them, or go with sports and poly isos. I don't know, anyone have any pics? I want something that will perform better also, which is why I am leaning toward the race.
Pics? Words of wisdom? Experience? Even an educated guess is fine with me.
I will be replaceing them myself so if anyone can give me any pointers that would help. I have an idea as to how to do the rears, by lowering the irs, and the fronts I don't think should be too hard. what do you guys think about the MM CC plates? I think i'm going to go with them and their FLSFC.
This will all be done at the same time. I need a welder also, so if anyone knows of anyone who does that and does it GOOD, please let me know (I'm in Chandler). I'm in no hurry but like to research everything I do FOREVER lol
Thanks guys :pinkthumb:

Oh what do you think of these for the rear?? With the SVT center cap of course...

dig the wider wheels!
as for the springs, i would NOT go the cutting route. you tend to weaken a spring that way, and decrease the performance of the spring. granted its easy to get the look you want, and do it cheaply that way, but i would ot suggest it from a performance point of view. i would go the route of a full on spring. i am not sure which one to tell ya to get, as i run coilover up front with an eibach drag launch spring in the back.
as for the caster camber plate, i think the MM's are the only way to go. i have them on my car, and love em. can't go wrong with thier FLSFC's either. good stuff.

Those wheels look bad ass. I like the dish look on the rears.
what ever you get make sure they are 10.5 in the back. I have loved mine and gotten more comments on them then anything I have added.

I did that same wheel and love the way it fills the wheelwell! Did the Steeda FLSFC's but that's because I got a good deal on them from a buddy of mine. Otherwise I would have bought the MM ones. Definitely worth every penny.
As far as springs go I cut 3/4 off my stock springs and its just right for me. I did a ton of research before cutting them from various websites and found it to be o.k. to do. I don't find it that much of an issue. AzSonicsnake's (Tony-I think that's his name???) has his car tuned for the strip so if that's your goal go for a tuned set-up for the track. I don't race my Cobra that much at the track to warrant it. The other thing is when I return from Iraq I'm gonna go with the PSR K-member so I would have to toss/sell the new front springs I just bought anyway. This way I don't lose any money just time! Good luck with what ever you do!!

Thanks for the replies guys! I think i'll go with the Race if I replace the springs, since the spring we have are liner rate springs cutting them shouldn't sacrifice ride quality or have an effect on the springs rate:dunno: (well i'm sure it will have a minor effect with the heat caused with cutting them) I would more than likely replace the springs just so I can have the stockers in case i'm not happy with the drop. Speed bumps + Kooks long tubes + lowered car = Not the best situation lol??
Anyone have any pics? I love the stance your Cobra has Tony :icon_cool: but how is the ride quality? I really want to eliminate my wheel hop and i'm hoping the FLSFC and springs will do that for me. Anyone here tried the poly isos? Anyone removed the isos?
I currerntly have a 10.5" rear wheel so i'll go with at least that unless that make them in an 11" rear. I want to put some Hoosier 335's out back. I'm sure i'll need the low pro irs bolts but hopefully won't have to roll the fenders.
KrazyAzian do you have any pics of your stance with the drop?
Thanks guys :pinkthumb:

I cut a coil off my fronts and rear. The car rode like stock and looked good. Here is a few pics.

ride quality in my car is great. its a little stiffer than usual, but i like it better that way. i need to lower my front end a little bit to look better with the saleens, but with adjustable coil overs, that is not a hard task. do remember though, my car doesn't have IRS.

Here is my other sonic blue irs having car with 18x10 with a 335/30/18 and 18x9 BBS rk plasma's with H&R SS springs. This car had ZERO wheel hop and ran 11.30's at over 130mph as it sit's with a ported eaton and some spray. The car rode so smooth it wasnt funny, I drove it back from vegas and I was kicking myself in the ass for not lowering my other 3 cobra's.

Jeese this thread is going in the wrong direction lol thanks for the pics guys. Anyone removed the isolators? If so did it have any effect on the noise level of the suspension?
Thanks
