So, if you remember my "Mens Toy Show" pics thread
http://www.highperformancestangs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5291 at the end of my post I mentioned how I "salvaged" the weekend. Well heres the vid of why and how.

I got to take my first helicopter ride. As part of the show a company was giving 30$ rides of about a 6-7 min duration. This was cool as fugg, if a little bit disconcerting given the seemingly frail nature of the craft in use.

So we flew around the local area surrounding the Cardinals stadium where the show was. And first as far as I know on these various boards, I have aerial vid of my own car. And once I figure out how to capture a single frame from the vid, Ill have a still pic.

During the filming, just after the 9:30 mark, I mustve tripped the shutter because the vid stopped. I guess I missed somewhere under 30 secs. Nothing big as we were over the dirt field at the time, still I hate that I missed any of it.

Language warning, I use the "S" word.

Helicopter rides are a lot of fun! I took one from vegas to the grand canyon a while back and we either had a stunt pilot or he just watched an "Airwolf" marathon. Was this one just a 2 seater?

Pretty cool, Alan, I clearly spotted your car, now you know how much your car stands out to the sheriff's traffic chopper, :biglaugh:

Hmm, I hadnt thought of that looking at it, but yes being "easily spotted" on the ground OR the air has always been on my mind. Need that "Knight Rider" "light bending" camoflauge.

thats one of those tinker-toy looking helocoptors? That thing sounded like an old dotsan starting up there ain't no way I would step foot in it. The last time I stepped foot in a aircraft that sounded like that was when I went skydiving back home in indiana. The skydiving school had a well used airplane that I remember thinking as we walked out to it that I was glad I had a parachute on and was planning on jumping out of it before it landed.

I see those helocoptors fly over all the time from chandler airpark and I can't help but think I want a more substantial craft to fly in myself.......
