I had the car in the air so I decided to spray the rear wheel well with some 3M rubberized undercoating, it turned out good and makes it look a lot cleaner than before. I picked the stuff up from Space Age Auto in Mesa, and all I can say is if you need anything paint or body work related the place has everything, even a ton of detailing products. No Menzerna but a lot of 3M and Meguires, as well as a Ford GT.

Mine weren't too bad since the car is never driven in the rain, but there were still some flaws in them, as you can see.

Here are a couple pics, it's something that can easily be done in an hour:

Before (after I sprayed and scrubbed it off)

After

First I sprayed some water on the area and then sprayed some wheel cleaner on the inner wheel well, once that got on there I scrubbed it with an agressive brush and prayed the remains off.

Let dry

Finally, I taped everything in the wheel well exposed off with some blue painters tape (struts, springs, lines, brakes, etc) as well as the painted quarter panel area, and put two coats of the undercoating on.

Not a bad way to spend the day.

Anyone doing this just make sure you use the proper jacking points on whatever car you are jacking up.
www.stangshiftergaskets.com (http://www.stangshiftergaskets.com) has a FAQ section with a lot of useful info from jacking points to much much more for our Cobras.
