whats up guys newbie on HPS I came from SVTPerformance and will be hangin out more.. hopefully. I had been a member there for years and I was recently banned for 1 month becuase I lost my cool online and insulted him.

Yea LL is cool.. Im not sure who it was and can't check right now lol! It was a 5 post person selling a Termy in the ads. We were talking about his car and he explained that he always used frams so i said "oh well nevermind Im not buying for that exact reason" He blew up on me about how I couldnt afford it..blah blah blah.. And I went crazy on him I was just having a bad day and didnt need any feedback

I'll shoot you an email too but so everyone else knows the answers to what is not in the for sale post:
1. I have it listed for $27,500 but just make an offer. I'm not the type to get pissed, I will just say no to a really low offer.
4. Exterior 8/10. It has the normal 43k mile wear (small chips, etc) but since it is white, they are hard to notice. There is about an 8" scratch on the front bumper. Looks like a parking lot scrape or something.
5. Interior 9/10. The interior is perfect except for where the plastic tab that holds down the driver floormat. This piece has come loose a bit but could be easily fixed (for probably under $100) at an upholstery shop.
7. Only part replaced was the lumbar inflation in the driver seat. Covered under the extended warranty.
8. Goodyear Eagle F1 DS-G3 with about 60% tread.

I bought the car from a 65 year old man in Macon, GA last June (He bought it from an elementary school teacher after his wife died just to have a fun second car) with 28k miles on it and drove it back to Phoenix so by the time I got it back home it had 30k miles. Most of my mileage has just been driving to LA, San Diego, El Paso, and to local cruises.

I'm a member of SVTP and of late only look at the Market and Fox
Cobra's whereas a good porton of the first site groupings are just
inflamitory, totally off the wall or straight out of a looney farm. There
is some good info there however, there is a lot of BS.

Well you may not be old enough to remember but in the movie Bambi (in the 60's) Thumper had a very good line:

You are right about the Fram filters on the Cobra motors. I work for Honeywell and we own Fram. But I won't use Fram oil filters on my Cobra or the Lightning. The Ford/Motorcraft filter has a good silicone check valve in the filter. Frams oil filter chack valves don't seem to hold. I found this out when my 99 Cobra was new. I went in and complained about lifter clatter after it sat for a week or two. Ford told me that is was the fram filter because of the above mentioned check valve issue.

So I bought a Motorcraft FL820S and the clatter went awar after it sat for a couple weeks. Just to prove it I swapped the Fram back in there and let it sit for a couple weeks. Clatter on start up again! The overhead cam motors keep a lot of oil up top and the fram filter will let it drain back down after long periods of sitting.

May have helped if you just explained your reasoning instead of blasting the guy for not knowing the difference in filters.

^^Interesting, I did not know all that. I use a Fram in the Durango but a Mobil 1 in the Cobra.

Motorcraft oil filter is the only filter I use, period.
