This is from another Mustang site. A little sad reminder.

sorry missed your post but it was worth repeating. As a first responder to those types of calls they always get burned into your memory. That type of scene is not one I like seeing. The worst part is when I have to notify the family of what just happened.

I have lived that, no need to explain to me.

So freaking sad! Street racing is definitely not cool. I have to admit when I was a young buck I did my share, and in looking back on it now, Im lucky it never happened to me. It did happen to my best friend on 12th street and Indian School what seems like 100 years ago, when we were both 17.

He was racing a Camaro in a 327 Chevy Luv, the light changed just as they were approaching the cross walk and obviously couldnt change speed in time. My friend Chris, hit another car tbone from east west traffic at about 85 mph. His girlfriend Mary (super hottie) went through the windsheild and was killed instantly, they had dated since 8th grade everyone knew they would have been the type to be married all there lives.

Chris survived, but was never the same physically or mentally, the driver of the Camaro broke a leg and an arm. Chris and I lost track after this happened, but I later found out that he totally lost it, became a herion addict and tried robbing a Valley National Bank, he killed a teller, and is now doing life.

I suppose the moral of the story is, even if you might not die in a tragic accident, can you really survive the aftermath if you dont?

Keep it off the streets! Take it to the track!
