Hey Dave, question for ya. Can I crash at your place the weekend of this event? Driving from Prescott everyday would be annoying. :) Unless I can get a hold of Chris that is. :D

I wont be either , I'm getting a room somewhere near the eent so I don't have to bounce back and forth! If I get a big enough room I'll let ya know..
I might have room in my place if needed. I live in gilbert just off of the 202 so it is 10-15 mins to get there.

I think it is safe to say that all the Copperstate Shows from here on out will include driving events.( at least if I have anything to say about it) Show and Shines are great but I'm thinking that most are looking for more to do. Like Steamboat they have a cruise and autocross. We really want to do a road course but we need some experts here like from the NASA or SCCA. The Steamboat group has 5 Mustang Clubs that put thier show on and a seperate group that runs the autocross for them. We have several members who do autocross and I think the next shows will include this also. The spring show "Rock & Roll Pony Show will an evening event under the lights next year and the Pony Cruise will be again on sunday
We are always looking for the next level of fun and this fall will be no exception.
Your ideas are always appreciated!!:pinkthumb:

as dave said, if people want the road course to happen, they need to step up. those of us who drag race have done what we can to make it easy for events to happen at the drag strip. so, if people want a road course event that badly, they need to step up to the plate and help make it happen. :pinkthumb:

I am not an 'Expert' either but I have helped in the past and will be helping Dave this Fall for the Firebird event. Just get a couple of volunteers and make some calls. It isn't that hard. The Club and Members would be glad to help I am sure. Good luck and I am sure your Event will be a success as well.

I am more into Drag Racing as well but I would be willing to help anyway. Regardless of what it is. I love all kinds of motorsports. I think people are a bit nervous jumping in with all 4's so to speak. FalconGTHO, we will all help so give it a try as far as the road course is concerned. You might be surprised at how many people you get to participate. Good Luck............

If your feelin Froggy!! Tell him Dave, it's always fun to smoke a Camaro or two a day. I just wish I could be there, I would have to put the notch on a plane to get it out there. Twin 60mm Garrett's on her now, and still street legal. I have to run cheeta slicks, two treads down the middle on the street now or it blows the tires off like a top fuel car. Ask the guy with the Camaro, if he can say mid 7'S. PM me later, are you still doing Jenna's Plaques? If so, I'll send you a check with the info. Also I need your address again, to send it to. If you've noticed, I haven't been on the site for a while. Trying to recoop, after another back surgery. Now I have the wife on my case, for playing with the notch. She says when are you going to learn you just can't do it anymore, Mike D. ( ITLRUN ).

No Cruise on Sunday with the MCA show. That would be funny, all the Trailer Queens, behind Pickup Trucks.
We are working on something going out to Wickenburg, first Saturday in December to support the annual Toys for Tots drive. Our host in Wickenburg will be worth a look too. More info to follow.

The t-shirts are way better in person! They look great! Plus there is a design on the front of the shirt too!
We'll have two race cars on display at S3M's booth for the upcoming ASA Roush Track Pak Challenge, if anyone wants to stop by and see what a road-race S197 looks like in-person :)

Do you have anymore drag tickets? I'm going Friday so what would be the difference between buying the tickets or just showing up to the track at the main gate and paying?

Just make sure you get on the road early, that drive can be a PITA if you wait too late coming from that direction.

We are officially "off line" as far as e-mail etc goes for the show. I have sent automated replies to check on this forum for FAQ. If someone asks a question, please give them accurate info, with no editorializing. I appreciate everyone's help putting together this huge car show and look forward to seeing you all on the weekend. This MCA show was amazing! Met a ton of people from various locations. Overall they were very impressed with the quality of the show. Hopefully drag race results and trophy winners will be posted. Congrats to all the HPS winners! A special thanks to Jeff Z. for posting the pics. Kudos to CMC for a job well done!

Thanks to Copperstate and MCA for a job really well done. We enjoyed the show, had a great time and was very pleased at how well the logistics were run. I thought it was a nice turn out, not overly large and everyone was really very friendly. The staff was great and very helpful. Managed to only leave $20 at the casino so it was a good trip..LOL.

Yup, I went in the casino and won a quick $100, which paid for my fees and the stuff I bought at the show. I wasn't too impressed with the buffet though, and the smoke was terrible. Guess it had been a while since I was at an indian casino in AZ.
