Hi everyone, here's a Porsche Cayman we did on Friday. We applied the new Xpel Premium Film, and if you look carefully, all you will see is the thin line. There is no difference between the actual paint, and the area covered with film.

Tim thanks for getting that lining in the truck done today, those pics of the clear bra on that Porsche look great. I'll let you know when i'm ready to have mine done. Just need a clutch and a few more small mods.
When it's time i'll definitely see you guys though.
Thanks again,
Josh

Whats the difference on the Standard and Premium film?

The difference between the 2 films is the smoothness of the finish. The standard film is made with a paper backing, and the premium is made with a flat plastic backing. When the film is manufactured it takes on the shape of the backing. Therefore, the standard film has a very slight "orange peel" effect, which is a by product of the texture of paper. The Premium Film has absolutely no orange peel effect. The difference is more pronounced in the sun light. If you have an expensive custom paint job, the Premium Film is the way to go.

K, cool. Thanks. Would it be pointless to use Premium on my 07 GT?

Take a close look at your paint job. Park the car so that you can see a tree or something in the reflection on the paint. And then look at the reflection from a low angle. If there is a lot of Orange peel in the paint, then you should do the standard film, but if the paint is pretty smooth then go with the Premium. If you bring your GT down to the shop I can take a look at it with you and help you make that determination.
Thanks,
Tim

Tim, I have an '08 Shelby GT with the barrett-jackson package which includes stripes. Can the film be applied over the striping?

The film can be applied over the stripes. However, there is a slight elevation difference between the stripes, and the paint. This creates a tiny air pocket with the clear bra. We will do everything we can to minimize the appearance, but absolute perfection in this case cannot be guaranteed. It will still look much much better than a hood with rock chips in it though:)

Tim,
How much would the standard film run on my daily driver- 2009 Pontiac G8 GT (Black)?

Hi Curt thanks for the inquiry.
The Price for your Vehicle would be $595 plus tax. The coverage would include 23" up the hood, inside the hood scoops. Also, the fenders, mirror backs, and whole bumper from wheel well to wheel well and up around the grille. And also the door edges and door cups.
If you want the headlights done I could do that for an additional $50.
I have appointments starting at 8am, Monday through Friday.
Thanks,
Tim

Hey Tim I will be getting my car back from the body shop here pretty soon. I would like to protect the cars fresh paint. How much would it cost on my 2003 Mustang Mach 1? I also have a 99-01 Cobra front bumper on it if that makes any difference.

Hi thanks for the question, the price for doing a clear bra application on that vehicle, in the pre-cut designs would be $238! Yes I know that is amazingly cheap, the coverage is minimal, but if you would like more, I could do a custom cut coverage for you. I would need to see the car and exactly what to cover in order work up a price for you on that.
