So not only have I found out i'm pretty much in need of a new clutch, but I guess I have some neighbors that think vandalizing vehicles is cool. These kids are going to go far in life, guess it's time to move.
Anyone ever replaced a door window in a Mustang before? If so, what's involved? I already replaced the window in my other car I just couldn't figure out how this one works.
Does anyone have a recommended shop that can replace the window? I have the door panel off and the broken window out for the most part.
Here are some pics of the damage:

What makes this so enjoyable for kids? When I was younger doing crap like this never even crossed my mind. I'm thinking about just staying up next weekend and waiting for these :censored:

This stuff seems to happen a lot out here, before I moved to AZ stuff like this never happened. If I ever catch who is responsible for this crap it's over for them, I just hope the police aren't too far behind for their sake.

I just replaced the guts in my wifes 98 drivers door. everything but the glass. I think the glass comes with the hardware on the bottom so it can be assembled to the regulator. It took me about an hour to change out the regulator.

Yeah i'll see if I can find any way to fit it in the garage, we have an office in there so half is take up with that. I think in the mean time ill order a good cover and see how that works, any recommendations? I hear there are covers that have inserts in the window areas to protect them. Anyone heard of that?
Josh
And fwiw there are rivets in the door that need to be removed to change the window, if someone wants a diagram on how to do it let me know.

Man crap like this is BS...I'd love to catch the little bastards in the act. I guess for us it is better that we don't because we would probably end up in more trouble than the vandals themselves. What clutch are you going with?

Without a doubt, but I can gurantee you I would not have to worry about my cars being touched around here ever again, and at times the consequences seem almost worth it.

Probably the Spec 3+ although I would love to run a twin disc the price is just out of my budget right now, but I may change my mind if I keep thinking about it lol

If you dont have 0 ded glass on your insurance get it! Windshields and windows cost several hundred dollars and the coverage usually costs less than $100/6 months. Its worth it especially in AZ. 1 claim and the coverage is more than paid for. Plus comp claims dont raise your rates. Its free money people!!

I was going to have them put it on my insurance but I decided I wouldn't need it, of course I did, and then this happens. I'll probably have them put it on when I need to renew since I pay every 6 months, but for now i'll throw a cover over it and park on the side of the house out of the way. I don't drive the car too often so it won't be too much of an inconvenience.

Have you had it installed? I'm now totally confused as to which clutch to go with lol I hear the Ram is a great street clutch but I also am told the Zoom is good on the street and track, but then I also hear nothing but good things about the Fidanza clutch.
Decisions decisions :wacky1:
I'm going to look into the Zoom and Fidanza a bit more

Nice, throw on som MM Caster Camber plates and some Global West FLSFC and you'll be ready to take that thing for a serious ride.
Let me know how that clutch works for you once you put a few hundred miles on it. I'm looking at that one too, seems like a great deal for what it can handle. I'm almost ready to say "hell with it" and buy a twin disk. We'll see, you ever get that exhaust polished? Were you able to order that detail product?

Already have MM FLSFC's and cc plates (kenny brown). I did get all of the detail products, but I haven't found the time to get started. I figure I'll wait to detail till it's done at PSR....things tend to get a bit dusty and fingerprinted down there. Running out of cool weather to detail though....summer is here!

Back in Minnesota I had my tires slashed 3 times by some punks. I even had them on camera for the last one and my son was able to identify them. But the police said that they couldn't do anything because the tape was too grainy. They went and had a talk with them, found stolen merchandise in their apartment and to my understanding all that they required them to do was give it back! What kind of parents do these kids have?!? Maybe it's time to bring back child spankings!!!

If I ever caught one of my kids doing something like that they'd receive more than a spanking. I am the type of person that would get on my kid about attempting to touch a car at a show (you know how kids like to do that :nono:).

How'd you manage that? I need to come up with something like that because if can get their plate number I can find the residence of the car and possibly be able to do something. If the police can't, I still gurantee you they'll stay out of my neighborhood.

Yeah, I bought a $36 night vision camera from Radio Shack and mounted it above my garage. It was so small nobody noticed it. Then I wired it to an old VCR and recorded it every night. I had 7 tapes and just put a different one in every night. This was about 4 years ago and I know that the technology has gotten better since then. As a matter of fact I saw something that would do the same job on a hard drive at Sams club not to long ago.

I got egged last Thursday but not by punks in the neighborhood - it was a palm tree right beside my driveway - just had it out for a few hours after a drive. It was windy that day and a few of the fronds broke and I guess a nest was in one of them. One egg was regluar, the other one had a little surprise in it.
