So, what are y'alls preference when it comes to wheels and tires? Which do you prefer?

I have Saleen 5 spoke replicas on General tires(255/35/18 & 285/35/18). They look good but my kidneys end up bruised. Tucson roads suck!!! They are not bad tires considering the price. They hook up well and hold around corners unless you give it too much gas, duh.

Would ya'll rather have 18's, 17's 16's...?

18's look great, but ditch the Generals. If you want a softer ride TOYO PROXES ride and handle well. I've always had good luck with them. When you upsize your wheels and tires, don't forget to upsize your brakes. That's a big part of that equation, if you make a run to 60 mph with your stock wheel and tire combo, hit your brakes and measure the distance. Now put the 18's on and do the same, when you measure the distance now I'll put money on it that you add 20-30 feet with your stock brakes on the car. I've seen too many people make that mistake, go with larger wheels and tires and forget to upsize the brakes. That 20-30 feet, can make a big difference between stopping safely, or wrecking all the hard work and time you've put into that nice ride, Mike D.

On a Fox... 17's max, no doubt, 18's as you no less discovered are kidney busters on a Fox. Also I think(just my opinion) 18's look too big in a Fox wheel well. Borders on Donk territory to me.

:2thumbs:If you want to see what a Fox Body looks like w/18's, go to members gallery look in ( ITLRUN ) I just uploaded a 91 Fox Body LX rag top w/tribal flames. Those are 18" COBRA R wheels w/13" drilled and slotted rotors and Baer brakes, it also has 03 COBRA rear suspension.

18" with a big brake kit is the way to go.

I went w/17's. Let me tell you why. First, I got a great deal on Cobra rims and Nitto 555's 245/45 & 275/40. Second, 18's were too tight a fit for the Fox and the profile on the tires was killing my kidneys. Lastly, it gives the Fox a bit of a sleeper look.

BTW, if y'all remember, I had problems with the steering. It would catch grooves on the road and go without my input. Well, going with 245's in the front cured the problem. I guess it had nothing to do with the steering but thanks anyways for all the help trying to figure it out.

BTW, I'll have picks soon.

Yep, 17's. And I can't remember where I saw it but the 10th anniversary cobra wheels chromed out look real good. And I am not normally a big fan of chrome.
