Oh man am I super excited to have received these new updated CAD drawings of the new Fore Precision Works 05+ S197/GT500 Triple Pump Fuel Hats.. As you guys know we're always working hard here to offer the most innovative and high performance parts to the Shelby community. Be assured that this is probably one of the most advanced fuel system modification ever produced for the 2005+ Mustangs!! Many others said it couldn't be done.. How can you put 3 pumps in the GT500 without disrupting how the stock fuel system brings fuel from the passenger side tank to the drivers side? Well it's been done and been tested. Test results showed that the vortex system that's used on the Fore Precision hat not only works to bring the fuel from one side of the tank to the other but does it more efficiently than the stock system does. This means less strain on the system and better performance!!

Here's just another taste of what your friends at Lethal Performance have coming soon!!

The hat may be run with 1, 2, or 3 pumps, in a return or returnless configuration, so it is a system that can grow with your car. The big suprise is the completely integrated eductor that actually discharges through the fuel pump mount. (or venturi pump, responsible for creating the suction that pulls fuel from the passenger side to the driver side) As many know, this device consumes fuel to create this suction. We bench flowed our design over the weekend and our design actually consumes 20% less fuel than the OEM design while moving the SAME amount of fuel from the passenger side to the driver side!

Check it out: (shown with optional AN-8 return fitting)

Check it!!

Fore Precision Works is taking this design straight to production with a couple small changes. The changes are:
1. Stainless steel eductor discharge tube (instead of copper, portion that exits between the pumps)
2. Add provisions for an adapter to merge into the stock fuel line at the tank. This will be an optional piece for a two pump configuration only...if you're planning to run three pumps, you're probably not worried about using the stock fuel line.
3. "FORE" engraved on the top of the hat.

Lethal Performance will be selling this assembly in a base configuration that is ready to go with two pumps, to be used to aftermarket fuel line. We'll also be offering the following configuration options that can be purchased with the hat, or at a later date.
1. Stock fuel line adapter (for two pump configuration only)
2. Three pump upgrade kit, to include a 3-1 y block and some additional hardware.

We should have pricing and availability information available at the end of the week!

During testing today at Fore Precision Works Justin noted that the installation was fairly simple. The Fore Precision triple pump assembly is actually SMALLER than the GT500 pump assembly.

That is a pretty slick looking piece. Too bad it is only seen once.

The big day is tomorrow guys!

We've got 5.0 Magazine coming to do the install article at VMP tomorrow where we'll be installing the Fore Precision Works Triple Pump Hat, ZOne 5 Performance MDM and upgraded lines and filter. We'll still be using the stock rails until the Fore Precision rails become available. Our duty cycle at 726rwhp was in the low 90's with the stock fuel system and no BAP. We're expecting to see duty cycles drop into the 60's with the triple pump setup. I'll post up tomorrow evening when we're done to let you guys know how things went.

I'd like to add a few very important facts to know about the triple pump hat that I think some people might not know about. You don't have to run all 3 pumps with this hat for it to function properly. The 3 pump hat can run 1, 2 or 3 pumps. So for those GT500 guys that want to upgrade their fuel system but not add the 3rd pump you can run dual pumps in the hat with your stock dual FPDm setup without having to run the MDM. You also have the ability to adapt the Fore hat with your stock fuel lines with the hat to stock line adaptor upgrade for $45.00. This is great for those that want to remove the restrictions of the stock assembly but still run the stock lines and rails. You can always add on upgraded lines and the additional pump and MDM at a later date when needed. So as you can see the Fore hat for the S197 can be utilized in many other ways then just a triple pump system. It's versatile, easy to install and best of all performs!
