Well its true Im an EMT in surprise and i have had the pleasure of playin around with both of them one is an 03 GT that is kinda easy to spot it has a G at the beginning of the license plate and it looks bone stock, but believe me its not. The other is a 2007 GT both of which are black by the way the newer one is hard as hell to spot the only real give away is the radar circle on the passenger side top half of the windshield and there are two small LED modules easily spotted these are on the outside mirrors and from the rear there is an LED strip along the bottom side of the spoiler. Both of the officers that use these are hell bent on bustin street racers and they are a couple of sneaky bastards. The only good thing is that these cars are not out very often usually fridays and saturdays. Just beware they are on the prowl. Dave im workin on some pics of them just gotta get them on the rare occasion that they are out before dark

Im warning all of you there are only 4 officers that i know of that operate these and they are DAMN good at what they do they hide well they pursue well and they always get their man. You wont even know that they are there until they light up on you. Just be careful brothers

On a little bit lighter note these cars are BADASS!!!! The 03 is chipped and tuned and i think hes got some suspension work, and the 07 is just sick lookin i think i might try to go out to the Police station and ask if i can take some pictures. Oh and anyone who is thinkin about goin there to try to catch one in the lot its not gonna happen they keep them in a garage thats built into the building

Yep, it was on the news last week, they showed one. The cop said someone tries to give the eye at a light at least once a night for a run.

There is a part of Atlanta (Doraville) where they had black IROC's (yeah, it was a while ago) with flat black lettering on the sides of the car - very hard to see. Cops in another section (Duluth) were incented to drive their own cars and there are a few hot rods there too. Come to think of it, it seems like the places with the coolest police cars are usually known for having the biggest *ssholes for cops.

They've tried to bait me at red lights before, in my Cobra. When I didn't bite, they went after some tool in a Civic with white brake lights. At night, you can see the red glow of their computer screens.

And, they're not the only ones that patrol for street racers. El Mirage and Surprise have worked together on Dysart, South of Grand. Idiots have a habit of racing between there and T-Bird.

I am safe being I don't street race.

Neither do I. I think that's why I have the NHRA membership, car number and run at the track. But, I might be wrong. It's been known to happen.

Why would they bait you if they know it wont stand up in court??

They have had that 03 for a while. ive seen it on grand on the way to the track a few years back. It flew by me kind of fast. i thought they were showing off till the lights went on. :) it was a close one. I thought it was dps myself but i guess after reading this it was surprise.

tech you would think its entrapment them reving at you but really its not depending on what you do and what they do. If they rev and you both launch its not say both spin tires then yes its entrapment. If he was to rev to and say you launched spun etc and he stayed still then well you just bought yourself a ticket. You made the choice and assumption his rev was that he wanted to race. Maybe he reved to say whats up or so you would rev to and he could hear your car.
this is how it was explained to me when i asked my brother in law to ask his brothers who are cops
If someone get's you to do something you wouldn't normally do ON YOUR OWN, then it's entrapment. So if someone challenges you to a race and you take the challenge without being FORCED to then it's not entrapment. You were encouraged and you took the bait, it Sucks but not entrapment.

Just driving either of my Stangs around gets nearly everyone that follows me thinking that either of the two cars will just shoot off each and every stop light. It kinda pisses me off, when they ride my butt. But, they sure get frustrated, when the light turns green and my Notch does nothing quickly. HA HA
