My tranny gets stuck in 3rd and in 4th... I called D&Dperformance and they said my 3-4 syncro messed up... Any shops that could fix it for me locally...?? I would like to learn but a mistake would be to costly :biglaugh:

Yes Dan over at PSR can definately take care of that for ya. I've been thinking about going over there and having them install the Viper 5th and 6th gear in my T-56.

I dont have the viper spec, does that make a difference? I dont want to have to buy another tranny if I can beef up this one to handle that much.....plus I like the gearing on my tranny opposed to the viper spec....

If it has a 26 spline input shaft it should hold the power.

Just do the input shaft. While there are some cases of output shafts breaking it is not as common as the input shaft.

Are you planning on launching hard on slicks?

by the time he gets his tranny fixed and output shaft ordered and installed he will be at the cost of a new cobra trans. i guess it just depends on how much it would cost to get fixed. you will probly be just fine with just a 26 spline input.

I guess it all depends on how much cash he wants to spend.

I w2ant to spend the least amount possible for my tranny to hold up that much power....And I might do a hard launch here and there.....But nothing extreme...

Then you should be fine with your current setup with a 26 spline input.

A viper spec is about $3200.

T 56 is pretty strong stock.
I know guys have gone 9's with stock internals and an upgraded input shaft.

Viper Spec has stronger 3/4, Output and Input shaft. Maybe some other stuff.
