It's about time that Ford figured out what the Europeans have known for quite awhile. Turbos+Direct Fuel Injection=Good power and fuel economy.:woot1:

Was watching TopGear the other night and the focus over in England has the Ecoboost 4cyl and a turbo. I think the hp was around 220ish.

Good news in light of the new EPA Bill that was signed. Ford already announced reduction of V8 Mustang GT production and a rise in V6 production. Now if they can keep the displacement at 4.0L with this new direct injection and Turbo charging for the newer Mustangs from the factory that would rock.

I believe VW is working on a supercharged and turbocharged car (like the article from MM&FF last month) for good power and efficiency out of a 1 or 1.5 liter engine.
