Must be nice to be rolling in cash!
If you can hear the buzz over the volume I would say it is not normal.

That TV is worth at least a second in the 1/4" mile.

do the plasma's use a color wheel at all, or just pure gases?
i know that samsung had some pretty bad color wheel issues in their DLP tvs
I think "its the mirrors"...

That's the DLPs. Plasmas utilize pure gases and are supposed to better all around, so i would doubt they would have the same issues. the color and clarity is actually really awesome on it. but it's an HD tv 2. The sound actually disappeared. We think it was just cuz it's a new TV. Not sure tho. :/

There's no mirrors in there, ur thinking of the projection TV.

I'd hate to see what you paid for that thing. I have a 50" Hitatchi Plasma in my bedroom and it makes no humming/buzzing sounds at all. There are many fans on a plasma and being a 63" they may be more of them or may be louder though. I know that on my 55" LCD in the living room, the fan will run for 60 seconds or so after you turn it off. Does it only make noise while it's on?

I know that. My tv fan makes a lot of noise mainly cause its a house fan.

My phillips buzzes a little but you have to be behind it to hear it.

I have a 50 inch and it puts out a good amount of heat. Can't imagine how much heat a 63 inch puts out!

When my TV buzzes I just adjust the rabbit ears and it goes away.

its really not that bad..the buzzing is basically all gone so it must have been a new tv thing i guess :woot1:
I have a 50 inch Pioneer Plasma (top of the line in Plasma TVs) and a 42 inch Panasonic Plasma TV. Once you go Plasma, you never go back. :) And I don't have any heat or buzzing issues people are talking about. Of course my Plasmas are on TV stands and not on the wall, so they might have a little better air circulation.

Exactly, and who keeps a TV that long anyways? Like I said, I have 2 of them and will never buy another standard TV again.
