Hey if I want to race in this event what do I have to do? Can I just show up and register or what?

You would want to go through the drivers school, which comes with a membership card. After that, you're good to go for Red or Green group HPDE's (not actually racing, but you probably know what I mean)

Have a Helmet, make sure the battery is secure, remove all loose items from the car, have good tires, and if street tires, keep the pressures up to maximum rated or thereabouts, which keeps the heat down. Make sure you have plenty of meat on the brake pads (as they boil fluid much easier if it's worn half way down or thinner) and bleed brakes as well. Show up maybe around 7:00am, and stand around for a while in the area where all the school cars congregate. They will have several classroom sessions, ridealongs with an instructor, and then follow the leader, then pick up the speed gradually as you feel comfortable and learn the track. That's the basics, let me know if you need more info.

If you need more info, let me know
