Ive been pondering the thought of buying a mustang for pretty cheap and jsut building it up, instead of trying to build up my one and only car and if something were to break on it i would be SOL. So my question is what is a better platform to build off of?
94-95 5.0
96-98 4v Cobra
87-93 5.0
possibly high mileage 99-04 gt (would swap engine for 4v)
I love how you can rev the shit out of 4v's and that they respond well to mods. but 5.0's are also cheap to build and get pretty decent power out of them, but then again everyone and there mom has one, so Im leaning more towards the sn-95 Cobra, what do you guys think?
Go w/ a fox body. Who cares if everyone else has one...It's something YOU built, and YOU can have a good time w/ it!:pepper:

what does a decent looking notchback go for? I just want one with a straight frame rear end and tranny and preferably a decent running engine. dont care about miles

could go with a fox body and put a modular 4v in it. Light car with a high reving motor isnt a bad thing and its less common even though more and more people are doing it. The swap isnt two bad either. I know 2 people with notches back in ny that are just finishing up swaps to terminator motors in them. They said that was a little of a pain due to certain things they needed during the terminator swap, but a reg 4v swap isnt to bad and next time they would go that way and just put a blower on it. Could always get a fox and put a lsx motor in it lol
