So I had bought at one point a supposedly low mile used 4.6 to go in my car after I blew up the stock one until I could afford to go built. I bought it from All Arizona Ford for $1700. It was only supposed to have 30k miles on it. I paid my money, picked up the motor, and decided it would be a good idea to go through it before I installed it in my car.

First thing I noticed while on the engine stand was a Ford Rebuild tag on the block. Ok, whatever at least it was done by Ford. Pulled the Valve covers off and it became obvious that I was not getting what I paid for. Cams showed obvious high mileage wear and tear. Whatever at least everything still looked good just used. Next I decided to drop the pan and look inside. Keep in mind the pan was badly dented but I figured I was gonna use my own anyway so no big deal. Pulled the pan off and there was metal shavings everywhere. Very large metal shavings. The oil pickup tube was completely closed off due to the crushed pan and what wasn't crushed was clogged with the gigantic metal shavings. I immediately called All Arizona and he said he would be out the next day to pick the motor up and replace it until I was satisfied.

Well the day that he came and picked it up was also the same day I traded my car in for the Lightning. I informed Verne (the manager) of this as I wasn't there when he picked up the motor I was buying the truck. I called him on my way home from the dealership and explained to him that I had no need for the motor anymore seeing as I now have the truck. He said ok no problem. So one month later I had not received my money back on the card so I called AAF and asked why it hadn't been refunded. He said they do not EVER refund their customers they only replace the broken parts or offer store credit. This is completely useless to me which I explained and he immediately said well thats all we offer so I guess your stuck.

I immediately called the credit card company and started the dispute process. It is now 3 months since I bought the motor (Wells Fargo has refunded money to me) and he is continuing to fight and JUST NOW says he has a replacement motor for me. I again explained that I don't need it and offered to pay $200 for the trouble of pulling the motor out whatever. He still refuses to refund the money to the bank. What kind of Shady ass business is this guy trying to run. REFUND YOUR CUSTOMERS MONEY IF THEY DON'T HAVE ANY MERCHANDISE OR USE FOR THE MERCHANDISE!!!!!!! Its really not that hard.

Sorry for the long post

Cliffs notes: All Arizona Ford refuses to refund my money after 3 months of BS. Shady business practices are why I am calling for a boycott.

Did they have a sign or a statement on any papers that said no refunds, only store credit? A lot of times people dont pay attention to the small writing and screw themselves that way. Regardless, you paid for it and if it was in good working order, you still would not have returned it correct? You said they picked the motor up the same day you traded in your lightning (which you then knew you had no intentions of using the motor). I'm not sticking up for them, just saying that I can relate as I hate when people buy shit and return it months later for the typical "I dont need it anymore" response. If he said ok no problem over the phone, what does that exactly implicate? If he did not specifically say "no problem sir, we will return the full amount back on to your card", then his statement of "ok no problem" doesnt mean shit in court.

Direct from their invoice.

- All returns must be accompanied with original invoice and are subject to a 20% restcoking fee (leads me to believe they can very easily do a refund)
- We reserve the right to replace any part before making a refund.

It has been 3 months and they just now found a replacement. Sorry but that is far too long. Beyond that I had told him the day I bought the truck, which is the same day he picked the motor up, that I no longer needed the motor. Its cool man I am just pissed and when company's flat out refuse to do something as simple as a refund when the customer does not have the goods and has no use for them after 3 days it gets me fired up.

I priced a five lug for my fox from them. They wanted $1500.00 for everything. They wanted to sell me both front spindles and a complete rearend out of a wrecked cobra even though I didn't need all of that. There is a sign behind their counter that says no refunds only exchanges. Sorry.

Well after all this they are taking the money back. So at this point I don't have the money to pay it off. These dicks are STEALING $1700 right before christmas shopping starts. They say they will give me store credit but I have no use for it. So at this point the truck is up for sale.

Use the store credit, buy something and sell it on craigs list or ebay. Buy something that is people have a high need for.

No. I never got anything from MMR.

I very well may just walk through their yard and pick something out that I know will sell quickly and resell that. Wheels or whatever. I am going to use this credit immediately tho. I am not gonna let them sit on it then say they dont have any record of me getting a credit.

Thanks man. I was thinking about looking for this small item and possibly doing this on my own. The guy on SVTperf that makes them is going to stop doing it. Not to mention he charged $400 each for them. I don't imagine it would be too hard with some files and sandpaper to fiberglass the pods on there. Possibly put a trans and water temp in there in the future.
