$78 sound mod

I'm not a stereo guy but I always kinda thought the Shaker 500 wasn't that great. It never bothered me enough to deal with it though, then about a week ago I stumbled onto this thread:

Found those Pioneer speakers on eBay for $72 and the adaptors for $6. Installed them tonite and wow what a difference. They are louder sure but damn so they sound clear. Before was like the stockers were sitting in a bucket of water and after is like the water drained away.

Install took a beer per side.

Definitely worth $78. Will prolly do this to my F150 and the wife's Mustang this summer.

I would like to do something like this to my Cobras Mach 460, I miss having a sound system, i dont wanna go all out but would like some better speakers and eventually a subwoofer. Wonder if these same ones would work? Or what I would need to buy to upgrade mine
