My first cobra was a black vert. I have a 6 point roll bar in it. Looked killer when the top was down. Id take that car back in a heart beat! Not to mention it had every bolt on possible to include full coil overs etc. I miss it

The convertible is what scares me away. I did not like my 02 Vert GT at all.
Verts for a performance car:ghey:

Ya Cobra verts are wet noodles. Needs a handful of mods to get to where the Coupe is stock

I don't think id consider it a wet noodle lol. It has a weight disadvantage for sure but there are plenty out there that are fast. I was able to go 7.1 in the 8th mile on street tires in mine with just a ported plowed and fuel system. My suspension was set right though. I have a video of me beating a new zr1 in it
wet noodle.. for sure.. drag racing is one thing, but just going over rail road tracks or bumpy cali roads..wet noodle... you can actually see the the car bend.. its alot better than the early foxes, but twister none the less... and safety wise, not to good when you end up rolling it...
but to each their own... I personally don't like verts..:2thumbs:
and 120K, not exactly the best platform to start modding...

Mine was very stiff but it had a roll bar. I'm a coupe guy aswell. There's a guy in Canada that dailies his with 270k+ miles stock block with the normal boltons.
I'm not saying they can't do high miles.. I'm saying a high mile car isn't the best foundation to start modding on..
and there is the first expense in the vert world.. a roll bar..

but if its in good shape and you plan on going big with a built motor and some serious boost then who cares I suppose(about the mileage part, not the vert part).
very true.. its just money phuck it!!!!

Id just rock it as a daily driver. Catback and a pulley and call it good.
