I am installing a Shelby Pod in my 65 Mustang (289) and replacing the oil pressure switch which was originally installed with a CS mechanical gauge which I bought from Tony Branda. My question is how do I hook it up to the engine? Do I buy an adapter to screw in where the original switch was installed? Please help ASAP. Thanks.

Do you just have the line that comes off the engine? If so Like on the 5.0 there is and adapter that screws in and then attach the line to the threaded end..

I do not have anything on the 289. Just the hole where the oil pressure switch came from

I'll take a picture of my 89 that has that set up, I had to ditch the sending unit when I upgraded to Real Gauges. The pipe is about 3 -4 inches long and then you attach the line directly onto it and your gauge.

Here is a shot of the pipe and the braided line attached to it.
