Today I used a claybar on my black Cobra (which I bought used and this is the first time I've detailed it). I can not believe the results! The claybar removed all of the surface garbage that is usually so hard to get rid of. I then put on a coat of Meguiars 7, followed by 26- both which I have used before, and WOW- it looks like a new car. Just thought I'd share- it really works well on a black car. Oh, and the Porter Cable Polisher is worth the $- it makes a huge difference and makes it very hard for you to damage your paint. I'll post some pics tomorrow.

I've used the clay for years!! Its great!! The first time I could not believe the crap that it brought out of the paint, now its once a year for all my cars!!!

I really thought I was actually damaging the paint at first, as it was really pulling some crap off of the surface! I just can't believe it took me this long to actually try it...lol.

Yea, I was supposed to have my new wheels/tires last week, so I didn't spend much time on the stockers. They screwed up and sent me the wrong offset. But yes, I do need to shine em up for sure!

Give Dan a call Tuesday to set something up before we fill up for the week on the dyno. I cann't wait to see those new wheels and how it does on the dyno. You should have a real torque monster on your hands.

May I ask what is this clay stuff your talking about? Although my car has a great shine I would like to keep it that way. Thanks
