well since I am looking for a new job and I am currently a master certified cadillac tech, I was thinking about teaching at UTI, I graduated from there in 00. thought it would be a way to use my knowledge in the best way possible...without getting dirty or having to worry about torturing my body anymore. hehe

Discuss ANY thoughts

I think you should. I plan on going to UTI here soon. If you teach that would be awesome if you were my teacher man.:2thumbs:

it really depends on you, I was only making 10 bucks an hour right out, but I went to cadillac as an apprentice. I graduated w/ a Master Ford Credential, but didn't utilize that, I didn't want to work on fords. GM = job security. lol I would suggest the best program to be Audi and VW, I have friends that started out at 36k a year right out of school, and now they make 60k+. thats about what I am making now, but it took me longer to get there. Some of our TOP techs make anywhere from 80-120k a year.

Thanks for the info. So you can start right out w/o any schooling? I have plenty of experience turning wremches (11 years) but no schooling besides aircraft schools. I just wanna see what kinda options I have since school sucks and Im not feeling my major (engineering). To many stupid classes that are just wasting my time:yes:

yeah, if you find a good shop that has an apprentice program, you should be able to get in. I think Quebedeaux(sp?) pontiac/GMC has an apprentice program.

I'll see you tomorrow anyways...feel free to ask anything you may be wondering.
