OK, so I just purchased my first Mustang, an 08 GT, a few weeks ago and the first thing that needs changed is the exhaust. Looking for a low rumble like older muscle cars. What are everyones thoughts? I have listened to many on YouTube but just not the same as in person... So i'm asking you folks here for input!
Thanks!
Ed

The magnaflow magnapacks and the slp loudmouth exhausts are the best in my opinion.

I have the Ford Racing Borla Stingers on my 06and love them, not as loud as the Loud Mouths but they have very nice Ford Racing logo on the exhaust tips..

Thanks for the input guys!
05mustangman- Magnaflow is on my possibility list but thought the loudmouth might be a lil too obnoxius.
Jacostang- Borla has always had quality exhaust.
Azmustang- Anytime you buy Roush, you pay a little toward his trademark! LOL
I really need to get around a bunch of GT's with various exhaust and listen to what they sound like...
I have a 2010 and am having the same search. I am leaning towards the 40 series Flowmasters, or the Flowmaster 409s. Still undecided myself. I want a good sound without drone. Its why I haven't really pulled the trigger yet either. Its to expensive to be wrong.

After trying to listen to many many sound clips on you tube, I am going with azmustang's suggestion and ordering the Roush Extreme cat back system today.
Fingers crossed!

Well I finally got the Roush Extreme cat back system installed this past saturday. Two of us had it on on less than an hour, even with having to loosen everything back up to get the tips even coming out the back. All I can say is they are worth every penny! Very happy with the sound. And quite surprised at how quiet they are inside the car while cruising at 70 around 2k rpm. When you get into the gas the rumble comes alive! Definitely recommend this to anyone. :2thumbs:

you like the sound but please donot put hiflow cats on it
azmustang has my old roush extreme's on his they sound good
on mine they were crazy loud but I guess long tube headers hi flow cats
and a super charger will do that
and joet if you want to try a pair of factory ford bullet mufflers on your car I have some at the house
nice rumble and quiet in the car
Hummmmm nice offer Dennis, how much you wanting for those? What condition are the Chrome tips in?
Would these be the same as Ford Racing GTA Mufflers??
I'm very close to going after the Flowmaster American Thunders if I could buy the axle backs here locally anywhere I probably would have already.

chrome tips are perfect $200
but I want you to try them first and make sure thats what you like
the ford GTA muffler was rusting out so they redesigned them
now the new style drones the ones I have don't drone outside noise only
well unless you get into it hard then you can hear them inside the car but still no drone
