Well guys I finally picked me up some DR's this week and decided to take them out to Firebird so I could get the hang of launching on them before HPS track day. Well here are the results:

R/T .986
60' 1.911
330 5.434
1/8 8.322
MPH 85.37
1000 10.800

1/4 12.907 http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/images/smilies/3gears.gif
MPH 107.15

Also huge thanks to Shane (INDY) for all the launching tips. Couldn't have done it without him. http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/images/smilies/cheers.gif

Thanks man! Yeah I'm very happy with the times, nothing special is done to the car, just your basic bolt-ons. I should be able to improve that 60' this Sunday.

I could use these tips cause I am consistantly bad with my 60ft. I get a 2.2-2.3 every time

Start with some sticky tires. Do you have a set of drag radials.

No too poor. Was looking at getting some Nittos pretty soon though. Had some when I bought the car and I felt the difference in traction but one blew, I jumped a curb and popped the other 3 and bent 2 rims so had to spend a lot of money on that last time.

Well I could only pull a 2.1 60' on my street tires. Now that was before I improved slipping the clutch, but its hard to get too much lower on street tires. Like BURNTIRE said you need some sticky tires.
