Pass door won't lock/unlock

My 2004 convertible passenger door doesn't lock or unlock when I use the lock button inside the car or the button on my key opener. The drivers door works fine. When I push the buttom I can see the door lock staff by the window move but it doesn't move enough so that the door locks or unlocks. For several weeks it would occationally work but now doesn't work at all.

Probably the power lock actuator is inop or frozen. Easy to replace.

Burntire:Does this sound like a dealer repair or could I do it?

You could do it if you have some basic tools. You have to remove the plastic door panel to get to the acuator to see what the problem is.

Just be like the fonz and give the door a good smack it might unfreeze if you do that. I know in my 2000 the window motor would freeze sometimes do that and a little slapping around and it was as good as new.
