Looks good.

But just for comparison, I took a picture of my old 2.3 KB next to the new Whipple 3.4. Juat a bit of difference. Now you're talking, have fun.

And THANKS for serving.

Holy crap that is a BIG blower.

The actual blower came in the mail yesterday:

I think this blower will look good with my polished PFAB Tanks, Pulleys, and Coil Covers:

Marc

Just sent my fuel rails in to be polished. Gas, 86 octane is $3.80 a gallon. I only have 3 weeks left here before I head to Utah for my last assignment.

After:

I was originally going with the KB Mammoth blower, so I had the rails sent to JLP and milled down a bit. That is why you see the JLP emblem.

After I got the rails back, I sent them to MFP to have them polished up like my other parts. I think they came out awesome!

Well after 4 1/2 years, the cobra is finally home. My buddy took delivery of it in Utah today.

Was supposed to top rack center, but I hear behind the cab is one the best spots to be transported on.

http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q55/MarcInHawaii/CobraArriving3.jpg

Another shot of the cobra on the trailer. The minivan left my Cobra a present...

http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q55/MarcInHawaii/CobraArriving1.jpg

Here is the minivan's present...oil all over the top of my car. My buddy said it washed off, so biggie.

http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q55/MarcInHawaii/CobraArriving4.jpg

Off loaded

http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q55/MarcInHawaii/CobraArriving7.jpg

Here is the damage. This was actually done while it was in storage. I will be filing a claim with the Air Force to paint the bumper and replace the bottom lip.

http://i133.photobucket.com/albums/q55/MarcInHawaii/CobraDamage.jpg

All in all, dealing the shipping company was a nightmare, but at least the damn thing arrived in one place. As soon as I arrive in Utah, get it registered, etc...let the build begin.

And for those who have forgotten or have not seen my build thread, there are the parts that are bought, paid for, and waiting to be installed:

To each his own, I am not a fan of flat black. Good thing we all have different tastes.

I will let you all know the numbers next week.

I agree. Most of the stuff in our engine bay is blacked out but I just love the polished blowers. Would love to have one one day.

Cant wait to see what your car makes!

First shot of the motor. The idler pulley and MAF meter are now polished but not shown in the picture. Also, a EGR delete has been done to get rid of that birds nest.

The Numbers Are In!!!

91 Octane: 622 HP & 558 Torque

Race Gas: 669 HP & 619 Torque

I don't know any of the other specifics as of right now such as how much boost on each tune. I will find out more later on. I am hoping there was a video, if so I will post up. I have been vacationing in Vegas so that is all I know for now.

Very nice numbers!!!

Marc

The cobra was actually re-dynoed on the race tune.

Here are the Official Numbers:

Pump Gas: 622 HP & 585 lbs of Torque on the stock 3.5 Upper Pulley, stock lower pulley, @ 17 pounds of boost.

Race Gas: 686 HP & 627 lbs of Torque on the 3.0 Upper Pulley, stock lower pulley, on 20.5 pounds of boost.

I will post up dyno sheets and videos when I get them from my Tuner.

My tuner said my stock headers and exhaust are limiting me. He suggested I go with ARH Longtubes and the Maganaflow Catback exhaust...could be worth as much as 30HP. And to be honest, the Flowmasters seem to have a bigger drone for some reason since the new mods, so I will change them out. So, I guess that is my next purchase...later on.

But, for right now, just going to enjoy the car! It is a beast!

WildBill

You're only getting close on the race tune to the point where it may be beneficial enough for headers.

Not knowing the rest of your current exhaust system, that may be the place to spend your money.

Unless you're doing it just for sound, leave the expense of headers and install alone at your current level.

Thanks! This performance shop rocked! $12K in parts installed in just 17 days and this included the tune. Kept me well informed every step of the way on all the questions I asked and any delays they were going through. Anyone ever head to Utah, check out Premier Performance. These guys rock and will be with you on the build every step of the way whether you are a novice or a expert on these cars.
