View Full Version : 2012 GT 1/4 mile Times
Went to Firebird Friday night. Made 6 passes with a best time of 13.010 @ 111.08 mph. Worst time was 13.095 @ 110.26. Car has only 1300 miles, and the 3.31 rear gears.

unbelievable, those cars are animals, can't wait till I get some miles on my boss to see what it will do, what RPM were you leaving the line at
Left easy to avoid massive wheel spin. At 2500 it hooked good anything over that and it would spin and then start wheel hop.

Great runs! I was leaving off idle and only getting 13.5 @ 108 when mine was stone stock with 2.2 sixty foots (3.73 car). Only had like 200 miles on it at the time though. These buggers loosen up nicely after a few tanks of gas.
Congrats on some impressive ETs!!!!
Got love how well the new 5.0 runs right out of the factory.:2thumbs:

Just so you know, that is comparable to a well tuned stock 1969 428 CJ Mach 1. I know. I was 11 years old when my dad had his, in 1969, and raced it at NY National Speedway.
I have been pondering buying one of these. Those times are making it hard to say no. :)

Ran a 12.81 @ 112.9 with a completely stock 2012 Brembo Glass roof 3.31 6 speed w/ horrible track prep. These cars are amazing, Ive had several Mustangs in the past (87Gt,92Lx 5.0,98 Cobra) And just sold a 2005 Cts-v. These cars are bad to the bone stock.

Very nice numbers. I put a cat back on a buddies 2012 gt with an auto and it went 12.68@113. The new 5.0's are no joke.

I'm still new to drag racing. I just finished my break-in miles and took her to the open "Freaky Friday" (original right?) Last Friday. I ran a horrid 13.76 @ 108.3 mph with my bone stock 2012 gt 331s 6 speed. On the good side, I outdid my buddy in his 2011 Camaro SS on that run, so I'm happy about it. That was my best of 3 runs.I'm trying to get sub 13s this Sunday at test and tune. Then I'll start ordering my mods. CAI/tune #1 on the list. Wish me luck!Edit: I ran the 13.76 from an idle with no launch. Anybody have any advice to improve my launch? Running stock tires.
I ran 13.2 @ 110 in my 100% stock '11 GT. Car is loaded with everything, glass roof, 3.73s, and everything. I suck at driving. That car is a real challenge to launch.
Paul.

I have gotten my 2012 auto to run as quick as 12.87 now, totally stock with Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials. This past Sunday, I had a best of 12.90 with an density altitude of about 2300 ft, which translates to about 12.50 at sea level.
