C4 Bands are out.

coming home from renting a movie i noticed the car shifting fun and sure enough it slipped from 1st to 3rd. When i down shifted into 2nd it acted like it was in neutral. Ready some other forums this is a common issue with my Year of mustangs with the 302 and c4 tranny. Some say bands, some say it needs adjustment. Curious what i should look into first.

i would check the adjusters first since they are external....

I took it to Lee miles and he laughed when i put it on the rack. Said the screw was all the way out, now it shift better than before. Tranny has never been adjusted so it was needed.

Sweet, glad it wasn't something "expensive" to fix. Anytime you want to pick up your new car, come on down to the garage, bring "cash", lol

On my car? No big just done 4k miles ago. Also put in a 2+ quart pan with a highflow drop down filter so it gets the cooler oil. It was much needed since the headers hover on either side of the pan.
