Just wanted to introduce myself and say hello. I just stumbled onto this site and hope to get to know some of you local AZ mustang folks. I don't know too many people and haven't gotten out to any events but I'd like to get involved and that's why I'm here.

My ride is a 2008 GT/CS. I've been working on her since I brought her home new in Dec of 08. She's a wee bit more than stock and lets just say she isn't afraid of any new SS Camaro's or Coyote 5.0's:icon_wink:

Anyway, I'd like to get to know some folks around here and meet up at the show's or the strip.

HAHA! Small world - er Internet I mean!. Thanks too! I don't mean to make anybody jealous (ok, well maybe a little :D) but I've been real happy with with it so far! 7K miles on the blower and no issues yet. I'd recommend this setup to anyone.:awsome:

Welcome aboard, nice CS! Great group of enthusiasts on this site.

Being that you have a CS, check out Jacostang's 2011 Pace car when you can, awesome rare car!

Also check out http://saacforum.com/index.php?board=52.0 and http://saacforum.com/index.php?board=54.0 for pics of the SAAC 35 GT/CS Mini convention.

To be honest, I don't go lookin for it all that often. The place for that is at the track IMO.

I've had a couple fart can sporting ricers want some and one guy with his new Camaro SS that though it was bad out on Hwy 90 and of course I wasn't about to let that go down, but for the most part I drive my car like its a normal street car on the street.

There is a guy in town with a GTO who wants a race tho I've never met him... Our wives work together at the hospital and have been talking mad smack lately. She call's my Mustang the "Crap Stain". So I sent back an open invitation to meet up at SIR next Friday's (8 Oct) Test N Tune. We'll see...:biglaugh: I gotta get new tires before then tho!

Crap Stain!!!!! Thats cold! My wifes boss hates ford so when she told me that I told her just teach him the Chevrolet acronym: Cheap, Hardly Efficient, Virtually Runs On Luck Every Time!

Yeah, that one kinda pissed me off a little bit but I'm not talking smack. In fact I just now called my wife at work and told her to quote-unquote: "Tell little miss 'Crap Stain' that next Friday is Open Test-N-Tune at SIR and it's time to either put up or shut up."

Oh yeah... I've not run on the 4.10's yet but I was pulling mid to low 13's on the 3.31's and street tires and that's at 3500 feet in 100 degree weather. I can't drive for s**t either. We'll see how it goes on a cool October evening!

Thanks for the welcome!

I just took a few moments to find out about your foundation and what it stands for. Your story broke my heart man... I have a daughter who will be 4 next spring. God bless you and all the good work you do through your foundation. People like you and your family who can take something so tragic and use that to make a change for good and effect so may lives in so many ways. Wow!! It's staggering.

You're gonna get that 9.11ET. I just know it!

HD you still may have a slight chance of getting your VIN # in Paul Newitt's awesome GT/CS book.

See http://saacforum.com/index.php?topic=5513.0 Reply #7, for Paul's info.
Paul also has GT/CS windshield decals and a California Special pin available.
If you want you can PM me and I'll email it to him to expedite.

There is a second Registry http://www.gtcsregistry.com/
where you can get your car's certificate and other important paperwork.
Ron was also at SAAC 35 with his white '08(?) and has decals, dash plaques and much GT/CS info on his site.
You can post pics of your car there too.

Also see http://www.hotrodplanet.com/ for 2 days worth of shows back to back that maybe you can make it up to. Get your registration in!
