Well I've just about had it with this thing. After installing the clutch two months ago the pedal hit the floor on friday... Pulled the trans down to investigate and found nothing wrong. I know I've got air in the system and finally found that the master cylinder for the clutch is leaking all over the carpet and one electrical plug just underneath it. I was going crazy trying to find the source of no pressure and was wondering if the OEM M/C can even handle the higher load or if there is an aluminum unit with a bleeder that I can replace it with. Anyone had thiers blow the front cap right at the clutch?
had 0 probs with mine at daily driving over 400rwhp. never had a slave go bad either (replaced it when i did the last transmission swap though)

Did you replace the master or slave with the trans? With mine the cap blew off and dot 3 all over the inside of my car. OEM replacement should be ok but with my luck i'm not sure. I've been doing some reading and it turns out that BMW hase been using this same unit in all of thier cars from 1997 to 2002 then ford got ahold of it and stopped using it in 2008.
replaced the slave on the trans swap, still on the original master
