I'm sure someone here plays guitar. Just picked up a Greg Bennett Malibu MB-1 and a Fender DG8-S Acoustic. I have never really played too much before but definitely want to get more into it (hence spending the money). All the reviews i've read is that both of these are good starter guitars. Does anyone have any insight on some instructional videos or books that can help get me started.

I suggest starting with anything free, then after you figure out what you like, you can start investing in books, videos, etc. I lean towards the blues, so some of these may tend in that direction. When you invest in self-paced books, some with CDs or DVDs, you can't go wrong with anything by Mel Bay.
Try these:

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/ (guitar tab site, lots of free stuff, not just lessons)
http://www.top100guitarsites.com/index.php3 (WAY too much here to catagorize; plan to spend a few hours exploring)
http://www.amazingguitarsecrets.com/ (lots of options for DVDs and lessons; pretty good; and you can get some freebies just by getting on his distribution list)
I'll find a few more and post again when I have more time.
